CAFE - DAY
The cafe is buzzing with the sounds of chatter and clinking coffee cups. People are gathered around tables, Amidst the crowd, Charlotte, Freen's ex-wife, rushes through, her eyes glued to her phone. She bumps into someone, sending a tray of coffee cups tumbling to the floor.
CHARLOTTE
(Flustered)
Oh my god, I'm so sorry! She bends down to help pick up the cups, her eyes meeting those of the person she bumped into. It's Pete, Freen's older brother. He stares at her, his face a mask of anger and disbelief.
Pete: (Coldly) Charlotte. What are you doing here?
Charlotte: (Nervously) I... I was just grabbing a coffee.
Pete: (His voice tight) You know what happened to freen? Don't you?
Charlotte: (Her eyes darting around) I... I know.
Pete: (His voice rising) Don't lie to me, Charlotte. You know exactly where you are. And what you're doing here.
Charlotte hesitates, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and something else... a hint of defiance. She takes a deep breath and looks at Pete, her voice shaking slightly.
CHARLOTTE
(Whispering)
Pete, I need to tell you something. I'm... I'm pregnant.Pete's eyes widen in shock. His jaw drops, and he stares at Charlotte, speechless.
Charlotte: (Continuing, her voice gaining strength) It's been a few months now. I've been feeling different, and I finally went to the doctor. It's... it's Freen's baby.
Pete remains silent, his mind reeling. The news hits him like a ton of bricks. He can't believe it. He's angry, hurt, and most importantly, worried. He knows how much Freen loves Becky, and he can't bear the thought of this news ruining their relationship.
Pete: (His voice barely a whisper) This is... this is a disaster.
Charlotte: (Her voice soft) I know. I'm... I'm scared.
Pete: (His eyes filled with concern) I'm worried about Freen. I'm worried about Becky.
Charlotte: (Looking down) I know. I... I didn't want this to happen. But it did. And now I have to figure out what to do.
Pete stares at her, his mind racing, trying to process the implications of this news. He knows he needs to tell Freen, but he's terrified of the consequences.
Pete POV
PETE'S APARTMENT - NIGHT
Pete sits alone on his couch, staring blankly at the television screen. The sound of a movie plays in the background, but he's not paying attention. His mind is consumed by the news he just received from Charlotte.
Pete: (To himself) This is a disaster.
He runs a hand through his hair, his face etched with worry. He can't stop thinking about Freen and Becky. He knows how much they love each other, and he's terrified of what this news will do to their relationship.
Pete: (Picking up his phone) I need to talk to Than.
He dials Thanawat's number, his heart pounding in his chest.
THANAWAT'S POV
His phone rings, and he picks it up with a sigh.
Thanawat: (Groggily) Hello?
Pete: Than, it's me, Pete. I need to talk to you.
Thanawat: (Sitting up, his voice becoming more alert) Pete! What's up?
