Dante came downstairs to see what was taking so long for me to come back upstairs in the room. As soon as he saw me he started to ask if everything was ok. Jay on the other end of the line heard his voice and began laughing and said "Oh suh a cs uh itch up wid man mek uh nu wah ansa wen badman a call yuh and a txt dung yuh phone.. ariit jada nu worry yuh head mn" as he hung up the phone.
I hissed my teeth and reassured Dante that everything was okay as I say that Jay posted on his WhatsApp status "Hope him worth it" which was obviously targeted at me. I shook it off and went back upstairs with Dante and we both went to sleep.
*The Next Morning* 7:30 am I was awoken by the glistening sun that peaked through the windows in the room. Turning around I saw that Dante was nowhere to be found. I sat up in bed and checked my phone. Today was now a Saturday and normally today was the day when my siblings and I would clean. However, I was curious to see what my day would be like since I was now spending it with Dante. I went to the bathroom and took a shower and got ready for my day. When I went downstairs there I found a jovial Dante who was finished preparing breakfast.
"Good morning princess, see yuh breakfast yer.. mino sure weh uh like suh mi gih yuh likkle bit a everything". On my plate there was an egg omelette, blueberry waffles and fried frankfurters, with a plate filled with fruits and chocolate tea.. my absolute favorite. I smiled as I took the plate from him as he guided me to the dining area and we both had our breakfast.
After we finished with our food I went ahead to the kitchen and began cleaning up. After cleaning up I went into the main lounge to relax a little. There I found Dante scrolling on YouTube trying to find a song to play while we started our day. Sensing my presence he spun around and smiled telling me how beautiful I looked. After playing his desired song he grabbed me and started to dance with me while rocking his hips to the beat.
After our mint dance session, Dante informed me that he was going on the road to pick up a small gift for me. Promising that he won't be long I agreed and he soon left. I sat on the couch scrolling through WhatsApp and Instagram as I decided to call my mother letting her know everything was okay. As she picked up the phone I could hear my nephew Theodore in the background.
"wahm mummy? yuh ok? jussa mek yuh know seh mi ariit and ting" "Yes mi dawta mi dehya enu a gwaan easy back.. yuh eat alrdy? "Yes mommy me eat and ting.. wah boh you? a who dat? Theo ina the background a laugh?" "Ye mi eat and yes a Theo same one a buss out big laugh cs him in ya a ramp and a play hide and seek wid gigi and deejay"
I chuckled as I heard about all that was going on at home. After I finished talking with my mother I went outside to the pool laying down on the beach chair that was situated right underneath the balcony. While I was tanning I heard the sound of Dante's car engine powering off outside. Soon he came outside where I was and gave me a blindfold telling me to cover my eyes. I was reluctant but I did it anyway. While he guided me inside I said to myself " a cudda wah him a show mih suh? Aye a wonda if deh bwoy ya knw mi nu like surprise.. mi fraid enu kmt" I then spoke up saying "Dante mek sure anuh nuhn fi frighten me enu .. cs mi will bawl ina this" I could hear him chuckling as he said "No b mi nah show uh nuhn fi mek uh fraid promise."
After a while we came to a sudden stop and Dante took the blindfold off my eyes revealing a now decorated living room with helium inflated balloons that read " Will You Be My Girlfriend?". I gasped as I saw him walking towards me with a bouquet of roses in his hands. I began crying as I shook my head telling him yes that I would be his girlfriend. Dante picked me up in excitement and spun me around while telling me that he was so happy that I said yes and that he would treat me just as how I deserved.
Monday, December 25 Christmas Day 9:30 am
"Mommy come open eh gate please!" I shouted as I stood infront of my yard gate. It was back to my reality as a working nurse. I enjoyed every bit of my weekend with my now boyfriend Dante. It is now couple hours before my shift and I had asked him to drop me back home so that I could get ready for work and since he had other passengers to pick up he agreed. I assured him that I would be okay to find my own way to work but he was defiant on bringing me to and from work so I had to choice but to agree that when it was time for my shift he would come and pick me up.
I was now inside my house as my mother began to tell me about all the mixup and drama that was happening in my community. Hissing my teeth I reassured my mother to take it easy and told her not to worry as I will deal with that lowlife dog named Rachel. After the encounter that myself and Jay had over the phone he had started to avoid me. I had no problem with that though because I had told myself that I didn't want to talk to him either.
I went upstairs to take my shower and get ready. After my shower and I was fixing my hair I got a message from Dante that read " B let me know when yuh ready yer, btw mi a plan fi stop a kfc yuh want anyting?" I hurried and finished my hair and replied back telling my boyfriend what I wanted him to get for me. While I was waiting for my boyfriend to arrive, I heard this loud outburst near my yard gate and I ran outside to see the nasty mawga gyal Rachel a verbally attack mih sista.
I quickly ran outside through the gate just in time to see Rachel swing at Gianna while saying " Just wait till mi see uh dry up badi sista cs the two a unu ave a piece a beaten fi get fraa mi". Unaware of my arrival I held Rachel's long beautiful hair and pulled her from my sister. By this time my younger sister took off her shoes and was now ready to fight Rachel. Trying to be the bigger person I told Gianna to take up her bag and shoes to avoid any further trouble. But by this time the whole community had heard the commotion and came to look.
Rachel luv excitement enu suh when she see the ppl dem outta door she tek boost like she name supligen. While I was making my way inside I felt a sharp pain in my neck as Rachel grabbed on to me. I spun around and the next thing I knew was that I was now fighting a pregnant woman.
