The next night olivia had gotten herself and eve ready for dinner at Edward's house. As she was looking at herself in the mirror Brian came up behind her and kissed her neck "I can not wait to get you out of this later."

Olivia sighed "do you ever think of anything else but sex when your around me?"

He glared "so I can't even compliment my wife now?"

"That was not a compliment. You know Brian you used to at least treat me with respect now all you do is critique me or say I need to service my husband." She rolled her eyes and stepped away from him.

He grabbed her arm roughly "maybe because I'm sick of being married to a roommate and would like to be married to a wife!" He yelled.

"Brian let go your hurting me!" She said not noticing eve walk in.

"Mommy?" Eve spoke.

Brian sighed and let her arm go "Evelyn you do not come in our room without asking permission young lady do you understand?" He said.

Olivia shook her head and picked up eve who was beginning to whimper and said "come on my love let's go manage that hair." Olivia said walking out of the room to eve's bathroom.

"Mommy was daddy really hurting you?" Eve asked as her mother brushed her hair.

Olivia shook her head "no sweetheart. We were just haveing a discussion." She lied to protect her daughter.

"Ok mommy" she said watching her put her hair in to pig tails in the mirror.

A little bit later the 3 walked up to Edward's door. Brian gripped Olivia's arm before she knocked and said "don't embarrass me." He warned.

Olivia winced slightly but felt him let go and she knocked.

Elliot seen them on the surveillance as they were coming up the driveway and noticed Brian's exchange with olivia but he waited and answered the door as she knocked. "Hey guys welcome." He said letting them in.

Eve was shy and clung to her mother after she set her down.

"Um ...hello." Olivia said.

Brian smirked and shook his hand "nice to see you again Edward."

"Oh call me Eddie" he said not really liking his undercover name.

As the evening went on things were going good between elliot and Brian. Elliot knew he was getting on his good side but he also noticed olivia and eve didn't talk much and once they were finished eating olivia stood to clean up the table. "Oh you don't have to do that I can handle it." Elliot said but Brian butted in and said "just let her do it she enjoys it. Ain't that right hunny?" Brian said darling her to disagree with him.

Olivia half smiled and nodded "um...yes...what are wife's for." She said looking down as she continued to clean up.

Elliot wanted to stand up for her but he knew he had to get in good with Brian so he just nodded. "I suppose that's true."

"How about a beer on the porch Eddie?" Brian asked.

"Sounds good." He said and grabbed them a beer and went to the back porch with him. Soon Brian was slowly opening up about his real business and asking Elliot to get involved at a lower level.

Elliot was only half listening as he glanced every so often at olivia cleaning his kitchen like it was her job.

Eve came out to the back and said "daddy can we play?"

"Eve what did I tell you about when grown-ups are talking?" He said in a stern voice.

Olivia heard it and rushed slightly to her daughter "my love why don't I put on some cartoons for you while daddy and Eddie talk ok." She said trying to calm the situation.

Eve looked down sadly but followed olivia away.

"Mommy daddy doesn't love me does he." She said in a saddened tone.

"Sweetie he does he just gets stressed when he's talking about business." She said kneeling in front of her daughter and wiping her tears "come on I'll put paw patrol on and get you some juice ok?"

"Ok mommy" eve sighed slightly.

Olivia went back to cleaning as eve got engrossed in her show.

After another half hour Elliot and Brian came back in as olivia finished and heard her daughter giggling and eve got a bit too excited and spilled her juice on elliots white rug. Brian seen this and became angry. "Evelyn Cassidy!"

Eve froze "I'm sorry daddy. It was accident" she said with tears welling in her eyes.

"Get up we are going home!" Brian glared yanking eve up by her arm.

Olivia rushed out hearing Brian's raised voice and ran to her daughter taking her from Brian. "Jeez Brian it was just some juice I'll clean it up" Olivia said.

"Don't worry about it I got it no biggie" Elliot said using all the strength he had not to punch Brian right then.

"Sorry man we will replace the rug. My wife's not very good att teaching our kid manners." Brian shot olivia an angry look and olivia said "I should get her to bed...i...I'm sorry about the rug Eddie." Olivia said rushing out of his house.

"Don't be too hard on the kid it was just an accident." He said hiding his distain.

'Yeah look let's talk more tomorrow ok?" Brian said before leaving as well.
