“Asaan na ba siya? Nauna pa tayo umuwi,” Clover muttered, leaning against the front door and staring out at the gate. “Ate Clo, hindi naman bibilis ‘yan kahit hintayin mo,” Shan teased as she passed by on her way up the stairs, smirking at Clover's impatience. “Kaya pala nagmamadali ka umuwi, hindi man lang tayo nag-enjoy,” Mandy added, shooting Clover a look of disapproval as she dropped her bag on the couch.

“Bakit ba ang trusting niyo sa Mackie na yun? Malay niyo, may masamang balak pala siya kay Addison,” Clover snapped, her irritation spilling over. “And ikaw? Bakit ba ang affected mo sa kanila?” Mandy fired back, clearly fed up with Clover’s attitude. “Mauna na ako matulog sa inyong dalawa. Mag-away na naman kayo,” Shan sighed, shaking her head as she disappeared into her room.
Mandy hesitated for a moment before asking, “Crush mo pa rin ba si Addison?” Her tone was sharp but curious, digging into a confession Clover made years ago back in school. “I’m just worried because she’s my friend,” Clover replied curtly, stepping away to shut the door.
“She’s grown up, Clo. Kaya na niya sarili niya,” Mandy countered, folding her arms. “So dapat pabayaan na lang kahit na mali ang ginagawa?” Clover’s voice rose, her frustration spilling out.
“And ano ba ang mali?! Porket hindi ikaw ang kasama, mali na agad?” Mandy shot back, just as angry now.

“Uh, guys… may bisita tayo,” Addison interrupted, stepping in to break the tension as she entered with Mackenzie following close behind. “Ate Ads… Mackie…” Mandy greeted awkwardly, forcing a smile as she glanced at Clover.
“Bakit ngayon lang kayo?” Clover said coldly, her gaze sharp and unyielding.
Mandy sighed, rubbing her temples. “Panik na ako, ate. Good night, Mackie,” she said with a polite smile before retreating to her room, leaving Clover and Addison standing in heavy silence.

“Uhm, sorry, pre. We had dinner out, kaya medyo natagalan,” Mackenzie said, her tone light, trying to ease the tension.
“Thank you sa paghatid, Mackie. I’ll see you next time na lang ulit,” Addison replied with a small smile, her voice soft yet sincere. “Thank you din… for keeping me company,” Mackenzie added, a playful glint in her eyes. The moment lingered until Clover, leaning against the doorway, broke their gaze. “Gabi na, oh. Uwi ka na, delikado na sa daan,” she said firmly, arms crossed. “Ah, sige. Promise, hindi na kami papagabi next time,” Mackenzie replied, flashing an apologetic smile toward Clover.
“Aba—” Clover started, but Addison quickly covered her mouth, muffling whatever sharp retort was coming. “Ingat ka, Mackie. Good night,” Addison said hurriedly, closing the door before Clover could say more. Clover dropped her arms and stared at Addison in disbelief. “Next time pa daw—next time pa daw!” she exclaimed, throwing her hands up. “She’s just being polite, Clo,” Addison said, brushing past her and flopping onto the couch. Clover followed, taking Addison’s bag and setting it on the table before kneeling to help her take off her heels. “So, nag-enjoy ka ba?” Clover asked, her voice softer now.
Addison smiled as she recounted her evening. “Masaya, super. Hindi nakaka-pressure mag-stream with them.”

“Good,” Clover said warmly, meeting Addison’s gaze with a smile of her own. “Masaya ako na masaya ka.”
