Note: This chapter is more of a limited edition—a little something extra for fun. It's a light, filler episode meant to add a touch of happiness and humor. It doesn't really affect the main storyline; I just felt like sharing this for the vibes. Enjoy it while it's here—it might not stick around for long!
"Anong phone gusto mo?" Addison asks as they wander through the tech section of the mall.
"Kahit ano basta kasya number mo," Mackenzie says with a teasing smirk.
"Uto, seryoso nga. Do you want one na maganda for gaming?" Addison asks, pointing to a phone on display.
"Hmmm, I want one with a lot of storage," Mackenzie replies, pretending to think.
"Oh, so you can download more games? Maybe this one," Addison says, moving toward another model.
A salesman approaches them with a polite smile. "Hi, ma'am! How can I help you po?"
"Kuya, maganda ba specs nito for gaming?" Addison asks, gesturing toward the phone.
"Opo, ma'am. Malaki na po ang storage at mabilis ang refresh rate," the salesman explains, enthusiastically going over the features.
Mackenzie watches silently, noticing the salesman's lingering gaze on Addison and the way his smile grows wider whenever Addison responds.
"Para sa inyo po ba, ma'am? Bagay na bagay sa inyo, lalo na sa ganda niyo," the salesman says, his tone more personal now.
Addison's brows furrow slightly, awkwardly laughing as she steps back toward Mackenzie. Without hesitation, she loops her arm through Mackenzie's and says, "Actually, it's for my fiancée."
The salesman stiffens, clearly taken aback. "A-ah, ano po ba hanap niyo?" he stammers.
Mackenzie tilts her head, a satisfied smile on her lips as she pulls Addison closer, her hand settling at Addison's waist. "Something with a lot of storage," she says, her gaze locking with Addison's. "You know, to hold all the pictures of my wife."
Addison flushes, a nervous laugh escaping her as Mackenzie leans in slightly. The salesman mutters a quick apology and fumbles to showcase another phone, avoiding Mackenzie's sharp gaze.
As they walk away with their new purchase, Addison nudges Mackenzie playfully. "Fiancée? Wife? Saan nanggaling 'yon?"
Mackenzie grins, clearly pleased with herself. "Just protecting what's mine."
Addison shakes her head, unable to hide her smile. "Ang kulit mo talaga."
"So, Mackie, what do you do for work?" Mrs. Arceta asks as they enjoy lunch together.
"Ah, I'm currently an esports pro-player po under ALAS," Mackie replies, her voice steady at first, but she hesitates, glancing briefly at Addison. "Pero... I'm resigning na po soon."
"Oh? Bakit naman?" Mr. Arceta asks, leaning forward with curiosity.
Mackie fidgets slightly before answering. "Iba na po kasi ang gusto kong i-pursue," she says, finally meeting Addison's gaze across the table.
"Sometimes, a change is good," Mrs. Arceta says with a warm smile. "So, kelan ka babalik ng Manila?"
"Ah, baka sabay na kami ni Addison," Mackie answers. "For now, I'm enjoying the peace and quiet here po."
"Nako, sakto! Birthday ng lola ni Quinn bukas. Sumama ka ha. Ipapakilala kita sa kanila," Mrs. Arceta says cheerfully.
"Ma naman, baka isipin niya accepted na agad siya ng family. Manunuyo pa kaya yan," Addison says with a playful roll of her eyes, casting a teasing glance at Mackie.
