By the way, this will be the last author's note that will accompany this short (long) story.

As the two walked through the gates of the school's huge perimeter, the atmosphere DEFINITELY changed in Genya's oh so pleading perspective.

Muichiro didn't utter a word, making sure not to catch any type of unwanted attention from the teachers and guards about not wearing the school's uniform just yet.

"Come to think of it, this school is pretty huge." Genya suddenly piped in the unwavering silence. "Hmm— meh." Muichiro hummed, trying to act nonchalant.

The two kept walking through multiple buildings, open fields, before finally making their way to their classroom. "We've been a bit late, haven't we?" Genya sighed as Muichiro momentarily nodded.

They walked in the classroom, a wave of reassuringness hit the back of his neck as the majority of the class also did not wear a uniform.

It was only after the two had sat down next to each other before Muichiro noticed, Genya was also carefree and wore the uniform that he wore during his throws game. Who was red and white all over? Genya. Yes him. For wearing a red and white uniform that had 'THROWS' written on it. Heck, the thing could be a jersey if only it had a number. It just had 'SHINAZUGAWA' on it.

How bold of him to walk in the classroom wearing a uniform for a sports game.

But then, how bold would Muichiro be after walking in the classroom with a white and skyblue hoodie while wearing grey cargo pants for the bottom.

Muichiro buried his head in his arms as he rested on top of his desk. Probably tired already for all Genya knew.

"Hey, you're gonna sleep already?" Genya scoffed. Muichiro didn't answer for a moment or two before gradually lifting his head up.

"Maybe no.." Muichiro sighed again. "But the teacher just arrived."

Genya turned around to be met by their teacher, setting down her yellow bag.

"Since it's only our second day— We can just chill and get to know each other." The teacher announced. What a nice teacher.

Genya furrowed an eyebrow before gradually looking back at Muichiro who was just looking straight ahead with such a straight face, Genya could get a good laugh about that in the future.

Just then, small talks erupted from the other students. Chatting about silly things they did throughout the summer.

"I'm going to sleep," Muichiro muttered as he buried his face in his arms again. Leaning in the desk as if it were a head board.

Genya hummed for a long while before starting his own conversation with the guy beside him.

"Please just let this day end—––" Muichiro grumbled.

He'll get used to this school life sooner or later.

A few hours passed, it was lunch break. Muichiro couldn't give two shits tho, he was eating at school and that was that.

"Aren't you hungry?" Genya sat up, others did the same as the teacher left the room with a simple 'Enjoy your break'.

"Let me put it this way,, I have eaten scorching hot melted candy, A cold hotdog by accident, and a soggy piece of bread and yet, the food i'm having today is the most disgusting thing that could ever touch the roof of my mouth," Muichiro scoffed. "I mean, I guess a little bit—."

Genya sighed before bringing out his container of food. "Just eat,"

"Sure, But it shouldn't worry you," Muichiro teased. "Oooh, you care about me. Don't you?"

Genya scoffed. "Let's say I care about my pet gold fish more than your ass,"

"Excuse my finest pardon??" Muichiro gasped. "Wait. Your pet goldfish died three months ago."

Genya stifled a laugh. "Fuck you, Shinazugawa and your personalized Throws Sports Uniform." Muichiro clutched his chest, pretending to be offended.

"You love me," Genya shrugged. "I love my little sister more than you. And I don't even have a sister, Aha!" Muichiro shot at him as he ate a spoonful of his chicken nuggets along with rice.

"I mean, everyone in this room probably loves me!" Genya shot his head up in amusement. "It's only the two of us here. Everyone left thirty minutes ago."

"Let me have my fun," Genya rolled his eyes playfully before continuing to eat his sunnyside eggs. "And plus— Who the hell eats chicken nuggets with no ketchup?"

Muichiro took out a chicken nugget before eating it in one bite. "A lot of other people," He then answered.

"Fuck your nerdy ass."

"Oh you love me,"

They ate in complete silence for a few minutes before a cacophony of laughter and chittering evolved from the room's door.

"HEYYYYYY GUYS!!" A short girl shouted from the door, followed by cheers behind her.

Muichiro stopped eating completely, and without taking his eyes off his container of food, he covered it with its lid and gradually shoved it back in his black backpack.

"Oh, sorry. Was I too loud?" The girl apologized sincerely. "Nahh, don't mind him. He's just not used to a lot of noises," Genya sighed.

"So I was loud?" The girl giggled before patting Muichiro's head. "Don't be so frail, you'll get used to it eventually."

"I'm actually a hundred percent sure he won't..." Genya finished eating and stuffed his food container in his bag.

Muichiro didn't say anything before nodding. The girl frowned deeper before letting go of Muichiro then heading to her own desk to eat. A classmate, however, decided to give Muichiro a nasty side glance before exiting the classroom. A side glance of disgust and judgement if you asked Muichiro.

"Don't mind Komitsu, she's just having a bad day," A boy reassured. "My name's Tanjiro. Nice to meet you, Genya and Muichiro, Am I correct?"

Muichiro stayed quiet, slowly nodding. "Yeah. Nice to meet you, bro!" Genya let out a friendly chuckle.

"Muichiro, you have such long hair if i may say—," Tanjiro mused before welcomly smiling. "Thank you," Muichiro muttered simply, not showing any other emotion besides surprise and confusion.
