Muichiro's P.O.V (2nd POV)

"So.. Where are we going?" I asked as we walked to the local park near the Kamado's bakery.

"Nothing special, just hanging out." Genya shrugged with a smile.

Tanjiro was really quiet, but it felt like he was also super loud. He was happy, enthusiastic, and overall just a ray of sunshine, but he doesn't talk much. I don't know why.

As we approached the middle area of the park, Genya sat in one of the wooden benches as Tanjiro followed suit. I soon sat too as Tanjiro and Genya started talking about things I cannot really understand. I'm two years younger, they're 16 and i'm 14, so that explains why most of the things they talk about are irrelevant to me.

Tanjiro kept talking about this girl called Kanao, Genya kept talking about his shot Put games and girls who tried to hit on him—, I guess it was a bit overwhelming, but then again, I shouldn't be ungreatful. It's only a rare chance for someone to actually want to hang out with me.

Genya lives a kilometer away, so it was absolutely a rare chance for him to be hanging around here, not because of academic and sports reasons.

I kept thinking And thinking of random things,

*BLEEP*

The sound of a loud whistle erupted near as I flinched and covered my ears, why is it so loud??

I looked up to see Genya and Tanjiro looking behind me, Genya decided to give me a glance before I turned around to see a volleyball game in progress. Have they just started? I didn't notice them earlier.. How long have we been sitting here for?

Volleyball games were common in our neighborhood. Heck, this area of japan was KNOWN for having the most volleyball games in a year. Even if it were local or official.

I watched as the opposing team spiked a heavy ball as the crowd surrounding them erupted in cheers.

It was so loud!!

I scrunched up my face in utter sensitivity as I fought the urge to cover my ear.

Genya and Tanjiro looked like they were enjoying the game tho.

"Maybe we should go? How does that sound, Mui?" Genya suddenly asked as Tanjiro started to get up. I only nodded frantically.

We started to head out of the local park when I felt a silky spider web hit my face. Oh for fuck's sake.

Genya's POV (2nd POV)

I watched as Muichiro started to panic, it was funny and random until I realised why.

"Woah there!" I exclaimed as I held him still. "Hold on, there's a spider on your hair." He closed his eyes in return, fighting the urge to start ruffling his hair. I know i've always picked on Mui back then, but if anything, his main phobia were spiders. Or anything that had eight legs or arms to be honest.

I reached out and grabbed the spider out of his hair gently. Tanjiro was watching, laughing his ass off because of how frightened Mui looked.

I let Mui go as he started shaking his head and ruffling it, "I still feel it on my hair!!" He whined as he started to slow down his movement.

Seeing Muichiro all move-y and talkative, even if he's in a state of panic makes me absolutely satisfied. Seeing the silent and non-chalant Mui being like THIS is absolutely comedy gold!

After we got Mui to calm down, we walked around the neighborhood, tried some takoyaki, and yeah.

after about an hour, we decided to visit our old high school. I heard Tanjiro was also a student there but in a different section. Our old high school was generally small. Only the 8th grade had two sections.

We walked into school and it looked DIFFERENT. Like super different. The walls, the buildings, and the plants—, it looks so uncanny.

Muichiro doesn't like changes, i wonder how he's holding up.

MUICHIRO'S POV:

Everything looked.. Weird. I just can't pin point what. I guess some plants were replaced, that's normal. I don't like how foreign it looks here...

There aren't any staff, just the guard that let us in. He was also our guard last year before me and Genya switched schools. He said something along the lines of: 'You guys will always be welcome here.' and it just warms my heart a bit.

"I'll explore my section." Tanjiro suddenly said as he walked off to the next building.

We both nodded and Genya took me to explore our old classroom. "They repainted the walls, look, Mui!" Genya said proudly as he pointed at our classroom's doors and window frames. They used to be green, now they're blue. It looks different. I don't like different.

We talked for a few minutes, writing down little notes on the blackboard and some other stuff like that.

"Mui, you should take photos." Genya suggested as he took my phone from my grasp. "You look good!"

I slightly blush at that compliment before grabbing a facemask from my pocket and putting it on. I don't like taking photos, and Genya knew that. So when I put on my facemask, he only slightly chuckled.

"Come on, Mui! You had 5th grade all the way to 8th grade to wear that facemask in every photo! Just take it off now that you're in 9th grade?" Genya pleaded to which I only shook my head frantically.

Even now, it's hard for me to leave the house without a facemask.

Genya nodded understandingly as he raised my phone to take a selfie of the two of us.

"Say cheeze!" Genya encouraged. "Cheeze.." I mumbled.

The picture turned out fine, Genya was fine—.. I guess i'll admit that. But I looked so out of place.. I didn't even care to strike a pose, damn.

"Don't worry yourself, Mui! You look gorgeous!" Genya exclaimed as he ruffled my hair.

I stared at him for a moment before he handed my phone back, the evident blush was hidden by my facemask. For now.

I waited for the heat on my face to vanish, and soon, it did. I was going to take my facemask off but decided against it. It was COLD and the only warmth i can get is from this clothed facemask.

We'll have to leave the school before any of the staff notice, no one's really allowed to step foot in the school on saturdays.
