Muichiro's POV:
(Oooh, the first time I used a character's POV)

Genya kept ranting on and on about how much he hated our math teacher, in my opinion, Mr. Shinoken wasn't half as bad.

I just kept nodding, Nodding, And nodding. I felt my facemask slip off a bit so I decided to fix it and keep on nodding. But Genya had other ideas, he stopped talking for a moment before talking again.

"How come you still wear the facemask?" I didn't answer for a moment, it was clear he was getting impatient. "Because it's uncomfortable." I answered, we were nearing the school gates.

"Oh, Really?" "Yes, Really."

We stayed awfully quiet for the whole walk before we finally exited the school grounds. " 'Nemi is picking me up, You?" He suddenly asked as we settled in the waiting shed. "My father," I answered plainly "But I don't expect him to be super early, if ever, super late." I groaned sarcastically.

"Hey, 'Nemi's always late too!" He mentioned with a grin. "I can keep you company."

I nodded and without a second word, we waited. Waited... And waited. It was about thirty minutes now, I was drifting off to sleep again. My bag, on my lap, and I was leaning into it like some sort of pillow.

Genya, on the other hand, was messaging people on his phone.

I started to doze off but someone decided that they needed to wake me up. "Hey," Genya addressed as he shook my shoulder.

I lifted my head up, My body was still slouched in a bowing position over my bag. "Damn, you're sleepy..," He whispered, mostly to himself before speaking up again. "Can you come with me? Buy some snacks I mean." He gestured at the small shop on the other side of the street.

"Sure." I was sleepy and tired and lazy. But if it's Genya, That's another story.

We both got up and started to cross the empty streets, mostly everyone was home by now. It wasn't dark but it's definitely not bright either.

As we finally got on the other side of the road, Genya turned to me in the corner of my eyes. "Do you want anything?"

I shook my head, "Aren't you hungry at least?" He asked again. "Nope," I answered truthfully.

He nodded and grabbed something from his pocket. It was his wallet. He told the store owner what he wanted, and paid.

As soon as we got back, I went to sit back down in the waiting shed as Genya followed.

He started eating his chips and he seems to be enjoying it. While I— Just want to sleep.

We didn't utter a word to each other, that was probably the best thing to do. It was silent, but the comfort was palpable.

I dozed off, sooner or later.

"Hey, Wake up. Muichiro?" I jolted awake to the sound of Genya's voice. "What?.." I asked in a groggy voice. I cringed at how annoyed I sounded.

"Your father is here," He pointed at a red car on the other side of the road. I frowned before looking around to try and find Genya's brother.

"I'm staying," I stated. "Father can wait."

Genya stayed silent for a moment. "Why?"

"Because you'd be alone, obviously. Look around, we're the last people here." I grumbled as I fixed my backpack.

"Pfft! Come on, It's not like i'd get robbed or beaten up here. Just go." Genya rolled his eyes playfully with a scoff.

"Okay, if you insist." I wasn't the type to keep persisting, so I mumbled a quiet goodbye before crossing the road and entering the car.

Genya seemed okay with what was happening, in fact, he was drinking down on mountain dew.

Well... Say less.
