Jema POV

Tinitignan ko si Ella na kumakain habang nakatingin sa kawalan. Hindi ko alam kung anong iniisip nya pero kilala ko si Ella alam kong may gumugulo sa isip nya. She chews her food slowly. Her forehead flinched. There's really something bothering her. I've known her long enough to be able to guess what's in her head this time.

Although I would not admit it directly, but I know that, Ella is a good person who often participate at the thought of someone else problem. In the past, not just once or twice, she was troubled by the problem created by her friends. This time even I could tell that she was thinking about problems in the workplace are likely to have nothing to do with it.

"Alam mo," I said, biting my tempura, my eyes don't look at her but I knew I had managed to get her attention and she look at me, "kung ayaw mo ng niluto ko, wag munang pilitin na kainin."

"N-no," she was hastily explained, "Hindi naman dahil sa luto mo, ano lang..."

I smile at her reaction but I maintain my cold expression, "Alam ko naman na hindi ako magaling mag luto and taking care of the house. I was totally incompetent. I'm not a good wife."

"No, I ... "I glance back at her through the corner of my eye and almost laughed at her flushed face, "dinner is very good, I don't think that you can't cook ... Uh I mean, I'm happy..." her face getting flushed, "thank you"

I wrinkled my forehead and looked at her, "then? Bakit ganyan ka makakunot ng noo mo kanina pa? Mukhang napipilitan ka lang na kainin yung niluto ko"

She sighed and shook her head, "I'm sorry, but it is not... I was just thinking about something..."

"about?"

She shrugged and continue eating, "Not a big thing."

"there is a problem at school?"

She shook her head.

I rolled my both eyes. I know she won't explain any further than that. I was not going to force her. Anyway, I don't want to interfere with her business too.

We continue our dinner without saying anything. Every now and then I glanced at her sitting across the table. She didn't look at me but this time she didn't look like she was daydreaming again.

"Bukas anong oras tayo pupunta sa clinic?" Ella asked me suddenly, I was little surprise because I didn't expect that she would start a conversation with me, "I think it was twelve o'clock, right?"

I nodded, actually I didn't think that she would remember my schedule with my gynecologist. I'm little happy because at least she was little concerned with the child in the womb.

"After the doctor we can have lunch outside huh?" She said while drinking orange juice, "then maybe we can stop at the pastry shop for a gift for your parents. Do you have a restaurant you want to go?"

I shook my head. Again, I was surprise. I don't think she will take me to eat outside. It's not a big thing, but...

"what?" she asked as she realized my face expression, "you okay?"

"I'm okay." I said trying to act casual, "Okay, so tomorrow don't forget to bring bag to for sleepover? I'll set it up. Ah, but I still have clothes in my old room, you can use my pajamas, right? So we don't have to carry a lot of stuff."

She smiled, "yes, don't think about it"

"ah, about the restaurant for lunch tomorrow, that remind me, I know that is good, I read in a magazine! The place should not be far from clinic."

When the doctor's waiting room was filled with the woman who were waiting in line to enter the examination room. Unfortunately, at that time none of them were accompanied by their partners. Perhaps because it is a working day so that their husband could not accompany them.

I glance at Ella who sits on the couch next to me. I'm little afraid that if she felt uncomfortable being in this place but I was surprise to see the expression on her face looked mediocre and not disturbed at all.

"Ella..." I called softly.

She turned to me, "What's wrong? You need something."

I nodded, actually I feel thirsty. My turn is still quite long. And we've been waiting for more than half an hour.

"Nauuhaw ako," I said with a pleading look, since childhood I always use look like this when wanting something from my parents or anyone else, and I know Ella can never resist this look, "bili mo naman ako drink, please?"

She didn't seem to mind, "anong gusto mong drink?" she hastened to add, before I open my mouth, "do coffee!"

I pursed my lips, "then chocolate milk"

She nodded, "Okay"

She stood up from her seat and started to leave when I pull the ends of her tshirt she wore made her turned to me.

"what?" she asked with one eyebrow raised.

"don't be too long, you want to come into the examining room and met with the doctor, right?"
