21 The Happy Ever After

Siwon didn't even bother changing out of her house slippers and went straight down to the lobby. Gyuvin was pacing around, his eyes barely leaving the elevator hall. The few minutes of waiting seemed like forever, but ultimately, Siwon darted out of one of the elevators until she was in front of him.

"I thought you'd never come. I thought you'd never want to see me again."

"I liked the happy-ever-after ending in your book" Gyuvin raised the book in his hand. "It'd be a pity if reality was any different. Your apology, your explanation, your confession, I got them all."

"I like you, Kim Gyuvin." Siwon regretted not saying this earlier so much.

"And I love you, Ryu Siwon." He wiped away her tears.

"I feel like we should kiss now to make this reunion more K-drama worthy," he dispelled the sentimental atmosphere at once with humour. "Just like the princess and the prince."

"You're no longer upset with me?"

"Not after seeing you come running to me in dishevelled hair and gunk in your eyes." Gyuvin laughed.

Siwon spun around with her back facing Gyuvin, wiping the crust away with her fingers. All of a sudden, two arms surrounded her from behind.

"I stayed up the whole night reading your novel. I did not get a wink of sleep." Gyuvin clung to Siwon lazily.

His talent for making her heart pound did not decline at all.

"Woah, Noona's apartment is so nice," Gyuvin exclaimed upon entering.

Seulbi's apartment was one of the two penthouses in the building, nestled in the bustling heart of Seoul. The spacious living room was surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing a panoramic view of the city. The soft grey interior of the penthouse was adorned with black furniture, highlighting the owner's chic aesthetic.

"You can go sleep in my room." Siwon trod up the stairs with Gyuvin behind her.

"How about you?"

"I'll be next door if you need me."

"I need you now."

"What? Should I lull you to sleep?"

"Can't you be a little more affectionate to your boyfriend, Ryu Siwon?" Gyuvin plopped himself onto her bed.

"Fine." She was defeated the moment he called himself her boyfriend.

Siwon was supposed to stay with Gyuvin until he fell asleep, but she ended up dozing off together. She nearly jumped when she woke up with Gyuvin's enlarged face right in front of her. It took her a few moments to remember all that happened this morning. She stopped herself from adoring his face any longer and got out of bed carefully, not wanting to wake him. Siwon had a last look at him; it was such a cute moment that she couldn't resist crawling back in to give him a sneaky peck on his cheek.

There was the K-drama moment he had been asking for.

Siwon grabbed something to eat from the downstairs kitchen and went into the study next to her bedroom to start studying.

"What are you doing?" Gyuvin stood by the doorway rubbing his eyes, clearly just woken up.

"Studying."

"Studying for what?" He went to have a closer look at what she was doing.

"CSAT, of course."

"CSAT?"

"I'm planning to take it next year."

"Really?" Gyuvin gasped. His whole expression brightened.

"Didn't someone say he wanted to go to university together?"
