"Breathe in." Tsireya instructed as we sat in a big circle on a rock expect for Ao'nung. He was somewhere else with his friends, he told Tsireya he had better things to do then teach forest people. Tsireya inhales deeply as she holds her hand to her chest. We all follow her instructions.

"And breathe out." She says again as we exhale deeply as she told us to. "Imagine a flickering flame. You must slow down your heartbeat." Tsireya puts her hands on Lo'ak's stomach. "Breathe from down here. Breathe out slowly." Lo'ak starts to exhale slowly, Tsireya looks up at him. "Lo'ak your heartbeat is fast."

"Sorry."

"try to focus." Tsireya says. "Breathe in." Neteyam and Rotxo look at eachother and snicker as Kiri and Tsilpey roll their eyes. Boys will be boys. They all knew Lo'ak had a huge crush on Tsireya, we knew the moment he said hey to Tsireya. "And breathe out."

Tsìlpey followed what they were doing as she wanted to make sure she was doing it correctly. Rotxo noticed as he did the same thing that Tsireya did and put his hands on her stomach. "Let your mind go clear. That will help." Rotxo said. Tsìlpey looked over at Neteyam which had angry in his eyes

Tsìlpey gave him a look as to calm down which neteyam just gave her a look back. Tsìlpey continued to breathe in and out as Rotxo helped her. Tsireya then decided to take us back into the water so we could swim around longer.

As we got into our water we started to call our ilu. It was diffrent than how we call our Ikran's we had to make clicking noises. Tsireya and Rotxo showed us how to call our own. Tsìlpey connected with her ilu as she got on and swam underneath the water.

Tsìlpey swam around for a while as she could hold her breathe for a long time underneath the water now. It was nice that she didnt have to go up every 2 minutes for air. "Whoo!" Neteyam yells as we resurfaced above the water.

Tsireya smiled and chuckled. "You are learning to breathe." We rode around for a while before Tsireya wanted us to try and retrieve a seashell from the bottom of the ocean. Tsireya had us go one by one, but Tsireya didnt want Tuk to do it. neteyam went first then Lo'ak. Finally it was Tsìlpey's turn.

Tsìlpey took a big deep breath as she dove down. The way of water has no beginning and no end. Tsìlpey swam down as she used her arms and legs, it was diffrent then what Metkayina people did. All they had to do what use their tails to swim. They were graceful. The sea is around you and in you. The sea is your home before you birth and after your death. Tsìlpey made it to the bottom of the ocean floor. She got the seashell and kicked off from the bottom and swam back up. Our heartbeat in the womb of the world. Our breath burns in the shadows of the deep. The sea gives and the sea takes. the water connects all things. Life to death. Darkness to light.

Tsìlpey broke surface and gasped for breath as she held the rock ip in the air. "I got it!"

Tsireya smiled. Tuk cheereed from beside Lo'ak. "You did it!" Tsireya says. It was mid day as Tsireya told us that was enough for today. Our training was going great for being here only for a month. Tsireya said we were fast learners from other children.

Tsìlpey got out of the water as she was going to go find Kiri but was stopped by Neteyam. "Whats going on with you and Rotxo? Why is he all by you?"

"He is helping me learn Neteyam." Tsìlpey replied back, slightly annoyed. "Your not mad are you?"

"Well it seems like he has a crush on you." Neteyam says. "he is always with you."

Tsìlpey grabbed Neteyam's hand as she brought it up to her chest. "You do not need to worry, I am yours as you are mine."

"Nga yawne lu oer, ma Paskalin." Neteyam said as he kissed Tsìlpey's forhead.

"Nga yawne lu oer. Dont worry." Tsìlpey said. "Now I am going to find Kiri, I will see you later."
