Mary was the first one to come to her senses. She parted from Liam and tried to sort herself out. She desperately tried to pin her hair back up the way it had been so expertly done. She started to panic. They'd been gone for a while. Together. People would assume, correctly, that something untoward was happening.

"Ay. Calm down." Said Liam gently as he placed his hands on her shoulders.

Mary looked at him in the mirror. The guilty unmistakable flush on both their cheeks.

"People will think we're having it off. We need to get back. We've got speeches. It's Noel and Ruby's fucking wedding day. You're fucking engaged! Oh God Liam-"

"Ay. Breathe. Look, you're right. Right now, we can't focus on what just happened. But later... yeah? I want to talk to you. About everything. You still feel it, don't you?"

Mary's lip trembled, and she nodded.

Liam carefully helped her pin her hair up and fix her dress. He pulled the straps on her dress up gently and smoothed out the wrinkles at her waist. Liam pressed his lips gently against her shoulders. Mary felt her heart ache at how gentle he was being with her. There was a tenderness in the way he touched her. When the passion burned away, what was left behind was just as beautiful, if not more. Liam tilted Mary's chin up, forcing her to look in his eyes. A promise. We will discuss this. And it is important to me. He pressed his mouth to hers gently. Sweet and innocent despite what they'd just did. Mary felt like the world was spinning off its axis. Her life had been so stable for three years. They suddenly had one hour with Liam, and she was off spinning into orbit again.

"Meet me at that little late night cafe we used to go all the time. It's only round the corner. Tonight, after all this is done."

Mary hesitated and then nodded. Liam took out his pocket square and lightly brushed it against where her lipstick had smudged. Mary shivered from the delicate touch of silk against her mouth. Mary gently brushed her thumb across Liam's lips to rid him of her nude lip colour that had transferred onto him. Liam sucked his lips in wetting them.

He smiled.

"Tastes nice." He said huskily.

Mary felt her face heat, and his smile widened as he brushed his finger across her cheek.

"That's what really did me in. That little blush. I was a goner."

"I wouldn't blush if you didn't say things like your lipstick tastes nice when you're looking at me like that."

Liam smirked. His eyes danced with lusty mischief.

"Who said I was talking about the lipstick?"

Mary groaned as she felt her face heat even further.

"I'll see you out there." He said, pressing a quick kiss to her cheek.

Mary was shaking as she used the silk handkerchief to wipe down the table for any evidence of their activities. Her heart knocked against her rib cage as she slipped the silk between her legs. She couldn't believe that had happened. She felt mental. Liam made her mental. She looked in the mirror, reapplying her makeup. It looked like nothing had happen. But it had. Images flashed in her head of the desperation in Liam's voice. In his kisses. In the way he moved inside her. She shivered. She took one last steadying breath before going back outside.

"Where the fuck have you been? I've been looking for you for ages." Said Noel with a harsh, angry tone to his voice.

Liam shrugged.

"I went to get some fags." He lied smoothly as he took the packet out of his pocket and shook them.

Noel drew him a look.
