"I'll see you later?" My dad asked, smiling as he looked through the mirror of his car to find me frowning slightly as I looked out the window. His smile faded and he sighed, turning to look at me. "Look, I know it's your first day, how about this? After school, I'll take you to your favorite restaurant." My eyes suddenly lit up, and this was the first time I've ever been motivated to do such. I nodded and hugged my dad before quickly grabbing my bag.
"Love you."
"Love you too, dad."When I entered the school, everything just came back to me. All the memories we've made last year, in this exact place. I just hope this year will be much better.
I was walking along the hallway, feeling a sense of nostalgia rush through me. I used to run here all the time. I wanted to do it again. I took a deep breath and started running along the way, when...
Ouch. I fell to the floor and looked at my scraped knee. Seriously? It's the first day and I'm literally about to get sent to the clinic. I then realized I've bumped into something, or rather, someone.
"Hey? You okay?" The person spoke, their arm reaching out to me and I quickly grabbed it, helping me to stand up. "I'm sorry for bumping into you." I looked up and the person was... tall. Like— really tall. The tall boy was wearing glasses. He had a concerned look on his face. He let go of his backpack and carried me to the clinic, my expression turning into confusion. "Will you put me down?" I asked but the boy ignored me and was still walking towards the clinic. "Not until we reach the clinic, I won't."
