Chapter 48

Two weeks later, we were on our way to the airport with the kids and Mel in tow, heading to I don't know where. Dominik met up with us at the airport, and when he leaned in to kiss her cheek, Mel lit up like a Christmas tree. We left Dom with Le to talk shop, as we took the twins to the bathroom to change their diapers.

"How do you feel?" I asked her.

"Nervous. He got his room, and apparently, your husband informed him of where we're going. He said he doesn't expect me to stay with him, but he'd like it if I did." she said, her cheeks bright red.

"What do you want to do?"

"I want to stay with him." she whispered.

"That's fine. If you're not ready to have sex with him, make sure he knows that and respects it. If you feel uncomfortable, you'll have the key to our room and you can stay with us. You know that. He makes you smile, he seems to make you happy. Think about what you want to do and just do it." I told her.

"Okay, I'm gonna stay with him." she smiled.

"Alright, let's go get some snacks and water for these kids."

As we walked towards our gate, I realized where we were going and looked up to see my husband watching me already. I put the boys in the stroller before turning to him completely and trying to reign in my excitement.

"We're going back to Puerto Rico?" I asked, looking at Mel's big smile.

"We're going to PR?" she asked, looking around to find the board to our gate. "This is so cool!"

"You said you wanted to take the boys and have a family vacation. We've been so busy, I figured this was as good a time as any to go on the trip." he smiled.

"I love this. I'm so excited." I smiled as I got on my toes to kiss him. "Thank you, mi amor."

"No need to thank me. You deserve this and so does Mel. You've been working so hard with the kids, I wanted to make sure you know that we appreciate you." he said.

She just hugged him and he squeezed her in return. When she walked over to Dom, he wrapped his arm around her waist and she smiled up at him. As if I needed a reason to love my husband even more. I love him so much for him and for how he loves my family. I'm a sap, I know it.

"Te amo, mi amor." I smiled, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"I love you, too." he replied, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Mommy, we're going to your heart home." Jojo said.

"That we are, we're going to my heart home. I can't wait to show you, Mariposita."

We did our things with the tourists, took pictures with the people who came up to us and signed a few autographs. Most of the time, we enjoy it, and today was one of those days. We did stop for snacks and drinks. The boys are used to flying now, so they were pretty quiet for the most part.

When we got to Puerto Rico, it was early, just shy of 1 pm. We got two cars and decided to check into our Airbnb first, thankfully we were able to get an early check-in. He surprised me with the Airbnb, said he wanted us to be more comfortable together. After freshening up, we decided to make tonight a leisurely one. With the stroller, we just walked down the long strip of sidewalk, past all the different shops, and chose a random restaurant for dinner.

My sister and Dominik stood with us for the most part but did take off after dinner. I told them of a few places they could go and sent them on their happy way.

"She looks happy. Is she staying with him?" Le asked as we walked back to the Airbnb.

"She does look happy. Yeah, she's staying with him."
