The next day at school Jay and I didn't really talk much. We still walked to class together, and ate lunch together but no talking really. Any time we did talk it went:
"So, how's your day"
"Fine. yours?"
"Fine."
Very awkward as you can see. I didn't want to bring up last night because he said forget about it but ... It's all that crossed my mind. All day all I could think of was last night. I must've hurt him so much. It hurt me to know I hurt him ...

Jay:
All day was awkward for me. I was trying to hide the fact that I was hurt from her response. I mean, it's not like I expected her to say yea I just hoped she would. I didn't really say much because I knew if I said anything it would end up being "why". We barely talked at all. I mean, we still walked to class together and sat at lunch together but, it wasn't the same. Y'know??
Well that night around 10:00 she ended up texting me. -
"Hey Jay, are you up?"
"Yea I'm up. What's up?"
"Look, I thought about it and ... My answer was irrational(?).. whatever the word is. It wasn't fair. I like you a lot and I'd love to be with you, but you have to promise it won't ruin anything if it doesn't work out."
"I promise..."
"Okay, then. Yes, were dating now."
"Thank you... Babe ;)"
"Haha, you're welcome(?)."
