Aeowea, unlike her uruk captor and his uruk subjects, needed sleep.

He had offered a room far away from the others.

In his tent, of course.

There was even a makeshift locked door.

Of course, HE held the key.

The room was surprisingly clean and, though the appointments, while not nearly as beautiful as her tower, were not as shabby as she expeted and suited her needs.

Surprisingly, though her mind was a whirlwind, she fell asleep rather quickly.

Just as she was drifting off, though, there was a flash of light from her breasbone and she could have sworn the Star was trying to tell her something.

She woke the next morning to the sound of clanking and the smell of something cooking.

Thinking that she was back home in her shining tower, a rarity, indeed, since she was seldom there, she rolled over, anticipating honeyed strawberries, nuts, and jam with hot chocolate.

She opened her eyes and found the cave-like room and remembered.

With a huff at her predicament, she got up and dressed.

"Milady." Annabelle's, the slave from last night it sounded like, voice came through the door. "Breakfast is ready."

"I will be there momentarily." She told her, wondering at all the formality in such a place that would not be remiss in her tower home.

She was surprised when she entered the dining area to find that the Uruk Lord was not there.

Feeling a little disappointed, she sat down, telling herself she was just anxious to give him some insults she had been coming up with as she drifted off.

"The Lord is on business but asked that you join him when you are finished." Annabelle, having led her there, told her.

"Does he lock you in at night, too?" She asked the woman before she left.

"We are all locked in at night, Milady." The woman told her. "Except we are in groups. That way we can sleep without worrying that the orcs, or uruks, will mess with us, you see."

"Groups?" Aeowae asked.

"Yes, Milady." The woman told her. "You are the only one in this place his Lordship locks up special. You being a Princess and all."

At her nod, the woman left.

Aeowae was both surprised and well, she didn't know what.

All she knew was that she was angry and was about to go and tell "His Lordship" what she thought of locking up people like cattle when one of the hideous uruks entered the room.

She immediately picked up her fork, ready to defend herself.

But the creature only stopped in the entryway.

"If you are done breaking your fast our Lord Father requests your company." He told her.

At least, she thought it was a he.

"Good, because I would like to speak with your Lord Father." She told him and, dropping her fork on the table with a clatter, got up and stormed past the creature.

Looking startled, he stepped aside.

She marched boldly out into what would be the sun except for the smoke cover, it taking a moment for her eyes to adjust.

She then saw the throne and him seated on it, looking, well, gorgeous, part of her admitted, as he sat there all in black, surveying his holding, his sword shining.
