Love's Desire 3

Hello my lovely readers ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you guys that you loved my story and a big sorry for not being able to continue it for a very long time. Even after a year if you guys are asking for updates then truly I've been a fool to discontinue it thinking it was some mediocre story.

My life has had many sunshine and showers then and many more to come. And I've been navigating through it simultaneously. And couldn't get the time.

I've come to realize that the perfect moment to write may never arrive; instead, we must make the most of the time we have.

Our dear Gangaputra finally had an aha moment and figured out that he dearly loves Shikha and was now on the mission to bring his love back.

Now Shikha on the other hand felt like she lost her love. She was okay with the unrequited love she got to herself. But being rejected by Gangaputra shattered her on the other level.

Since I'm writing this chapter after a very long time, and keeping in mind the state which Shikha is going through, I recalled the quote of T.S. Eliot who wrote the lines dedicating his close friend AHH.  " 'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."

So here's a new chapter, after an eternity. And I'm going to start it with a heartfelt poem on Shikha’s behalf.

💔💔💔

Love's cruel game, unrequited but true,
a heart left longing, a soul feeling blue.
One's affection unreturned, a bitter sting,
a melancholic monody that the heart will sing.

Like a fragile flower in a desolate field,
Love’s hope clings tightly, though fate has concealed.
Yet destiny's hand, with its merciless art,
Leaves one shattered and lost, with a fractured heart.

The eyes that long for what can never be spoken,
A love unreciprocated, like promises broken.
In the silence that lingers, in the shadows of night,
A love that is hidden still yearns for the light.

Yet from this deep sorrow, a strength starts to bloom,
In the heart's quiet chambers where shadows consume.
For love, though unreturned, holds a beauty profound—
It fortifies the heart, like a shield that resounds.

Through the ache and the longing, through tears that we shed,
We learn that love's essence is not easily fed.
It’s found in the moments we cherish and keep,
In the dreams that we cradle when we cannot sleep.

So let heartache be tender, a bittersweet guide,
To treasure the love that resides deep inside.
For unrequited love, though it may sting and burn,
Is a testament to passion—a lesson to learn.

In every sigh whispered to the stars up above,
There lies an enduring truth: we are worthy of love.
Though one may not see us or feel what we bring,
In our hearts lies the beauty that true love can sing.

Shikha looked outside, which seemed like it had always been like this, but nothing was the same for her now.

It was greenery outside but inside her, there was only darkness.

Darkness, that was left by her bleeding heart.

Darkness, which was now filled with emptiness, leaving her in a complete void without a single ray of hope.

Darkness, that the future holds for her now.
