2. A marriage to be arranged

Hastinapur palace (Vasant Mahal)

It was night and Everyone was in the dining room.

Mahamahim Pitamah Bheeshma, Mahamata Satyavati, her daughter-in-law Rajmatas Ambika and Ambalika and their children King Dhritrashtra and Queen Gandhari, King Pandu and Queens Kunti and Madri and all their respective children, all the Kauravas(Descendants of Kuru clan) and Kaunteyas(Sons of Kunti) that is Karna, Yudhishthira, Bheem, Arjun and Madreyas(sons of Madri) that is Nakul and Sahadev.

It was like a custom and ritual of their home that at the end of the day, the whole family gathers. And it was all the efforts done by Mahamahim Bheeshma who made his clan tightened with each other from the string of love.

After so many years of hard work and perseverance, he had made the impossible into possible.

They all had been living happily together and not only them but the whole of Aryavarte admired their love and kinship. Everyone wants to be a part of this huge family.

Karna, Yudhisthira, Duryodhan, Bheem, Arjun, Nakul, Sahadev, Vikarna, Dushashan, and all his dear grandchildren have attained the ripe age to get to the altar of happy matrimony. So with all the boys reaching the age of marriage, it was Pitamah Bheeshma who broached the subject of their marriage.

Pitamah Bheeshma in his firm yet stern voice spoke. "Boys, it's time for you all to get married".

All male hands stopped eating their food when Pitamah bombarded them with the announcement.

Chuckling, Pitamah quipped. "What! You all are behaving like I have dropped a Bramhastra on you all. It's a good news. And it's time to rejoice. Stop acting so much you all. And Continue eating". 

They all started eating. All the family love Pitamah from the deepest of their hearts. And his each and single word is above all and foremost.

"So all of you want to get married at the same time or one by one???" Pitamah questioned them curiously.

All the princes objected that they wouldn't be able to enjoy the marriage if they got married at once.

Listening to their excuse, Pitamah asked. "All right. Who is going to be the first???"

Everyone stared in the direction of Karna who was sitting between his mothers Kunti and Gandhari.

Karna felt bashful and blushed.

"Why are you all looking at me like this? I'm not getting married first". Karna said adamantly.

Yudhisthira who adored and admired Karna to the bottom of his heart, said with a smile to Karna. "Oh c'mon Jyesta don't spoil the mood. We want to enjoy your wedding".

Duryodhan who was seated next to Yudhisthira weighed on his decision. "Absolutely. You should be the 'Bali ka Bakra'. At least when it would be our time next, someone would be able to give us guidance".
