Boy or Girl? That is the question

Delphine wakes up. I feel like I got run over by a truck. She opens her eyes slowly before looking at the clock and determining she has exactly 3 hours to get ready, eat and be at her appointment on time. As she sits up, she holds her head in pain as it throbs majorly. She makes it to the bathroom, when she looks in the mirror she almost doesn't recognize herself. Her eyes are swollen and red, and she has bags under her eyes from not being able to sleep. She doesn't know what's going on right now but she doesn't like it one bit. Truth is, she misses Cosima and hers relationship before the pregnancy. It just all changed, Cosima is keeping a secret from her and won't even tell her what it's about. She feels lonely and at times heart broken from the lack of trust right now.

Delphine gets ready slowly, trying not to worsen her headache. She brushes her teeth, uses the bathroom and goes to find something comfortable yet simple to wear.

Cosima stirs in her sleep, she just like Delphine has gotten no sleep. She throws the blanket off her body, before bursting into violent coughs. Her hands are covered in blood and is forced to get up and walk to the bathroom to clean up. After cleaning her hands, she brushes her teeth and stares at herself in the mirror. What am I doing? How could I let this get so bad? She fixes her dreads then sits back on the couch turning the tv on to take her mind off things.

Delphine walks out with her bag in her hand and walks past the living room into the kitchen to grab a snack to eat.  She hears Cosima watching tv, and cringes at the thought of last night. After eating she checks the clock and smiles that she's right on schedule, then grabs a jacket and making her way out without saying or acknowledging Cosima.

Cosima sighs and let's another year roll down her face when hearing Delphine leave.

*beep*
New message from Sarah.
"Hey Cosima you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine."

"Don't lie to me I know you like to act like you're cool all the time."

"Delphine is going to the doctors right now to find out the sex of our baby, and she doesn't want me there."

"How do you know that?"

"She told me."

"She's going to need you no matter what she said. Trust me I had a baby, that's one of the most emotional moments and you don't want to miss it. I love you now stop texting and go do something oye?"

"Okay thank you. I love you too"

Cosima puts the phone down still not sure what to do exactly.

Meanwhile at the doctors office.

Delphine walks in scared to death and very anxious. She signs the paperwork and sits in the waiting room. The reality of it all is hitting her and she has no one there to tell it to. She wished last night didn't happen and her beautiful fiancé was with her. But it did happen and she still is hurt and furious with her. Delphine leans her head against the wall behind her, waiting for her name to be called. When the doctor calls her name she stands up and slowly starts to walk in. She gets to the room she is told to go and sits on the bed suddenly feeling really nervous. Her hands are shaking and she is rubbing her belly. The door opens and in walks Cosima, someone she didn't expect to see walk through that door. Cosima walks in and rushes to her side,
"Look I know you don't want me here right now, but I didn't want to miss this and-"

Before she can continue Delphine takes her hand and stops her,
"I'm happy you came."

Cosima smiles and squeezes her hand to show her that she's here now. Moments later the doctor walks in and begins the ultrasound.
Doctor-"would you like to know the sex of your baby?"

Cosima nods and Delphine smiles in agreement.

"Congratulations you guys are having a beautiful baby.."
