18:Back home

★Amore's Pov★

This week went up so fast it's already Saturday.With everything going on I almost forgotten about the most important day of my life.I didn't though I just almost.Tomorrow is the date on which my mom died and so I have to go home.I usually go with the girls but with everything happening I totally forgotten to tell them and I think they had forgotten but it's okay they might be busy.

I get into the elevator.When I walk out my apartment's building a car honk at me making me jump scared."Ey Señorita let's go!"Natasha yells.

"You didn't think we would forget did ya!?"Im not going to lie I'm really happy they didn't forget.

I walk to them.

"Is this Justin's car and why are you in the driver's seat?"I said scanning inside the car but there's no Justin.

"I said the same thing."Mia said.

"Come on get in."Nat said putting on lipstick.

"When was the last time you drove a car?"I get in the back.

"Never."

"What?"Did she just say never? Maybe I didn't get that right.

"Nothing."She starts the car and drive away.

It's been 6 years since my mom died but still feels like yesterday.I still remember seeing her in the garden watering her roses.She loved roses,she would cut off the thorns and put them in a vase in the kitchen.They would brighten the whole kitchen.I also remember when she used to tell me stories about her when she were young and also about how she ad and my dad met.She said they met in highschool,he was a football player and she was just an ordinary student.Then one day my dad accidentally hit her with a ball and she fainted.

He waited the whole night in the hospital until she woke up then they started talking, hanging out and go on dates then a few years later they had me.Its quite a romantic story actually it was more fun to listen to when my mom narrated it.

"Amore."My mind drift back to reality.

"Huh?"I tend to overthinking sometimes and it's my weakness.

"Where's your mind at I've been calling you."Mia said.

"Are you thinking about your mom?"Nat asks as she make eye contact with me in the rear mirror.

I nod."I miss her too."Nat said.

"Yeah me too."Mia also joins in.

"How about we listen to some music to ease our minds?"Said Mia.

"Sure."

At last we arrived.My dad got out as soon as he saw the car pull in the driveway.

"Hey girls."Dad hugged Nat and Mia.

"Hey Mr R."They both said in unison.

"Hey Ammy."Mom used to call me Ammy too.

"Hey dad."I hug him and I make it long since it's been a while I last saw him.

"Have you been well? How are your classes? Have you been eating?"

"Easy with the questions dad I just got here.And yes I've been well,the classes are good and I've been eating well."He'd always been loving and caring.

We all go inside the house."Are you hungry?"

"Im starving."Mia said sitting down."Yeah I could eat."Nat said.

"Amore?"They both said in unison.

"Yeah I'll eat.Excuse me I have to use the bathroom.

Being back home brings back a lot of memories.I can't stop thinking about my mom I really miss her a lot.I wonder how my dad has been holding up.He doesn't really show or share his pain which makes it hard for me to know how it feels.

I splash the water in my face.I turn off the water and go back downstairs.

"There you are."Said Mrs Jones.She's our neighbour and was my mom's friend.She had been taking care of me since my mom died.I also wonder how she's doing first her husband died in an accident then my mom who's her friend also died.

"Hi Mrs Jones."She embrace me in a hug.

"How are you dear?"

"Im okay Mrs Jones."

"Is school okay?" I nod.

"Any boy I should know about?"She wiggles her brows.

"Nah there's no bo-"And Nat intervenes.

"She went on a date with her crush.Her highschool crush."Classic Natasha can't keep a secret.

I turn around giving her the shut up look."What?Am I lying."

"Well then I can't wait to hear about it all."She said with a smile.

"Why don't you join us for dinner Mary?The girls ordered a pizza."Dad said.

"Oh I don't wanna intrude."

"Nonsense join us."Dad insist.

"Then I'll join you."She sit back down.

We all chat and laugh.Dad makes dad jokes and they're always funny.The pizza arrived,we ate while we chat and me ad and the girls took our food upstairs to give the adults some time to talk.I do want dad to move on mom would want him to move on.
