01:New boss

Amore's Pov

I am sitting in my boss's office,I'm sweating and I'm nervous,my leg is bouncing up and down as a sign of nervousness.I glance at my phone and the time is 17:15.The door opens behind me and walks in Daniel and sit on his chair in front of me.

He's my boss and I'm his maid-his kids nanny.I do all kinds of jobs."You look nervous." Said Daniel as his voice break me out my thoughts.

I smile at him nervously."I have bad news and good news for you."Said Daniel.

"Which one should I start with?"

"Bad news first." I said.I always feel better when good news comes second.

"I'm moving away." Said Daniel.

"Wait what? Why? When? How? I mean why?" I ask as I try to process what he just said.Daniel has been my boss since I was in highschool back when I was just his kids nanny.

He's the best boss I've ever had and now he's moving away which means I'll have to look for another job.

"Relax Amore.Breath." Said Daniel.

I take a big breath before talking."Why are you moving? And if you're moving then that means I'm gonna lose my job."

"It's personal and no you're not losing your job." Said Daniel.

I scrunch my face in confusion."But I don't understand."

"Yes I'm moving away but you're not losing your job because I talked to an my old friend and he's been looking for a replacement and that's where you come in."Said Daniel.

"So I'm gonna work for him?" I asked.

"Yes, but don't worry I've negotiated with him and your pay is gonna be the same." Said Daniel as he put his hands in front of him for defense.

"Oh." I look down on my lap as I try to hide my sadness.

"I'm sorry it has come to this Amore but I have no choice,I'm sad too and the kids are sad too we're all gonna miss you."

"So when are you leaving?" I ask as I look up from my lap.

"Tomorrow." He said it more like a question.

"Oh,I don't know what to say." I said as I try to blink away my tears.

"Too soon I know and again I'm sorry." He said with concern written on his face.

"Umm so what's his name?" I asked.

"Dante Romano.And here's his adress."He said as he hand me a small paper with an adress.

I put the small paper in my backpack pocket and get up from my seat."Thank you for everything.Can I say goodbye to the kids?"

"Sure, they're in the gaming room."Said Daniel.

I turn around and head for the door to turn the handle but pausing and turn around to face Daniel."Daniel? You were the best boss ever. I smile and he smile back at me then I leave.

I unlock the door to my apartment and close it then walk forward to throw myself on the couch.A few minutes later I hear a knock.I get up to open the door and standing in front of me are my two best friends Natasha and Mia.

They've been my best friends since middle school,we all had detention and we were cleaning the school's bathroom then we started talking and hang out and until then we've been best friends.

"Well aren't you gonna invite us in?"Said Nat as Mia push past me.

"Sorry come in" I say as Nat walks in.
