I was having a dream that night about us in the park earlier that day.  But about halfway through the dream, I was suddenly woken up by the smell of smoke.  I woke up coughing and wheezing.  I quickly rolled out of my bed and the first thing I did was go over to Little Wonder's bed and woke him up.  Even though there was smoke in the air, I thought he looked so cute waking up.  I pulled him off of the bed softly, but as quickly as I could.  I could see that he was going to ask something, but I put my hand over his mouth, and I put my finger in front of my mouth to keep him quiet.

Right after I did that, I saw that there was pure terror in his eyes, and the sight of that made my heart clench.  I took his hand and said softly in his ear, "It's ok, we're just going to go downstairs quietly, and go to Mother and Father."  Once I saw him nod, we made our way down to the living room by crawling, and I stopped both of us.  I looked at Little Wonder, and mouthed the words 'stay here.'  I slowly made my way further out into the living room.  The entire place was on fire, and I had to cover my mouth with my nightgown in order to crawl without passing out.  I wished I would've passed out instead of seeing the sight I front of me.

My dear Father, was on the floor, with a dagger in the middle of his chest.  And then I almost let out a scream, but I got caught in my throat.  I looked to the left and I saw my mother, she was crying.  She was leaning in the wall, with a gash in her stomach.  She was covering it with her hands and trying to scoot over to Father.  But she stopped suddenly once she saw me.  She quickly motioned for me to come over to her.  I literally army crawled over to my Mother.  She put her hand on my head and pulled me close to her.  I could smell the pungent smell of her blood falling on my face.

It was horrid.  She was crying when she ripped off her necklace that I've seen so many times: a heart that formed into a key.  She was putting it in my hand forcefully as she said in a quick rush, "My child, you must never let anyone get that key.  You are like me in more ways than you know, you have power like me.  Now please promise me something?"  I quickly nodded my head, because I was unable to speak and the tears were just coming faster out of my eyes.  "Please take care of my, Son of Angels.  Take care of each other for the rest of your lives.  Never let each other out of your sight.  If you do, do your best to get back together as soon as possible.  Do you promise me that?  Look out for each other."  I nodded, and threw myself onto my mother, my dying mother.  She put her hand on my head and kissed my forehead.  "Go to your brother now and bring him here."  I nodded and went to Little Wonder as fast as I could.  But when I got there, I saw that he wasn't where I left him.

I heard a blood curling scream, "Big Sister!"  I froze.  I quickly turned around just to see Little Wonder in the hands of the WOMAN who was responsible for all this mess. I heard Mother scream commanding to let him go. There was absolute terror in his eyes. My stomach and chest clenched until it was almost impossible for me to breath. I collapsed on the floor holding my chest, but I never took my eyes off Little Wonder for one second. The woman had a dagger up to his neck, and I saw a trickle of blood. Mother must've seen it too, because she yelled like no one has probably yelled before, "Let go of my child you demon!" And then there was a flash of light, and then the flames burnt out, and we were all on the floor.

There was panting, then it stopped. I looked at my mother, and finally screamed. She wasn't moving anymore. But I didn't have much time to think about that. I did my best to adjust my eyes to pitch black in order to save Little Wonder and get out of there as fast as I could. Just as my eyes focused in the darkness, that's when I saw it. He was struggling against the woman's grasp. I saw that, and my mind went blank. My body, though, seemed to have its own mind. The next thing I knew was that I was running over to Father's dead body, and I grabbed the dagger out of his chest. It was horrible, but my body was desperate. As blood splattered my face, I spun and headed towards the woman.

Because of my fathers training, I was able to sneak up on the woman and I stabbed her in the leg. I didn't let go of the dagger, and brought it all the way down from the thigh to the ankle. Bright, red, hot blood was covering me over Mother's and Father's. She screamed in agony and swung her arm to try and hit me. Because she was bigger than me, she was easily able to throw me off of her. Sadly, my head was the first to make impact with the ground. It throbbed like it never had before. I could see my vision became blurry, and darkness almost took over me. My body went numb and cold. In a distant voice, I heard Little Wonder screaming my nick name as the woman was limping him through the door. I lifted my hand with the last bit of strength and softly said, "Little Wonder." Then I lost consciousness and slowly floated into a deep hole of pure darkness.
