*Dear readers, these following chapters will have people's different points of views. I just wanted to clearify that so you wouldn't get confused. I hope you've been enjoying my stories, though! :D*
Once I saw who it was, my voice caught in my throat. "Sensei?" How is this possible? I left him all the way back in Japan, and we were now in America. He only smiled at me by my confusion. "I had a faster jet, than that excuse for a jet." I looked at him with my mouth hanging open. "Sensei, what the heck are you doing here?" He smiled and mouthed the words 'you'll see.' He held up a clipboard, and started reading off names: "Justin, Mark, Max, and Hector, all of you were the first ones out of the jet. We had security cameras in there, and each of you shoved your commerades aside. That is a sign that you are too focused on your lives instead of the people around you. You may leave."
Each one of the guys hung their heads, and walked to a car that would take them home. Sensei went to the girls, "Brittany and Veronica, you are supposed to handle a situation with calmness. Neither of you showed that, so you two may leave." Both girls started crying, and went to where the boys were standing. Suddenly Sensei was smiling as he approached the rest of us. "Well done the rest of you. Aubrey, you handled the situation with complete calmness even though you were tired, you may go through the door behind me."
Aubrey was smiling from ear to ear as she went through the door. Sensei started letting everybody else through the door until it was just me and the boy. "Little Girl, you have shown an outstanding example for everybody who walked through the door. You acted even though you were scared yourself. And you saved someone's life in the process." He nodded his head to the boy who was still staring at the ground with his hair covering his face. "Because of that, I choose you as the leader of the remaining team." My mouth dropped open at what Sensei told me.
Then his smile faded as he looked at the boy at my feet, "As for you, young man, instead of even acting to do something, you did nothing. Now get out of my sight." The boy stood up, and started walking towards the car. I felt so bad for him, that I ran towards him, and hugged him real tight from behind. I rested my head on the back of his. "I'm sorry you have to go home, I do hope we can see each other again and have a normal encounter without any circumstances," I whispered.
I let go of him, and started walking back to Sensei. Suddenly, the boy was grabbing my hand, as if to say don't go. "Please, I would love that." I nodded, and stroked his hair ever so slightly. I squeezed his hand, and ran back to Sensei. I waved back one last time and went through the door. Once I was inside, I was trampled by Aubrey. "Congrats, honey! I heard what happened, you were chosen as a leader!" My voice got caught in my throat for what seemed like the millionth time this week, and I could feel my face growing really hot. She was jumping with me in her arms. It was a weird embrace, but I thought, 'hey, it's the thought that counts, right?' So that night, we were put in our own rooms, but I couldn't sleep.
The main reason was that boy. He looked so much like Little Wonder. His actions were so much like his. But I quickly pushed that in the back of my mind when I heard a knock on my door. I went to open the door, but someone quickly said, "Please, don't open the door, I just came here to tell you something." From the deepness in the voice, I guessed it was a guy. "Ok, what do you need to tell me." I heard him take a deep breath. He seemed to be nervous for some reason. "Well, I really admire what you did for the boy on the jet. It was really couragous of you to risk your life for him. And I'm actually glad that your our leader." I was glad that he couldn't see me right there, because I was blushing like crazy. "Thanks, then. Is that all you wanted to say?"
"No, actually. Who you call Sensei wanted me to give this to you." I looked down, and saw a black card slide underneath the crack of the door. I picked it up, and saw that it was a black credit card. Those were credit cards that had an unlimited spending amount. They were only given to people who were executives, or had a lot of power. Also known as Sensei. I decided to open the door right then. When I swung the door open, I expected to see someone standing there, but no one was standing there. I shook my head, and closed the door. After I put the card somewhere safe, I put on my headphones, and started playing some music. I was glad Aubrey gave me this specific one, mainly because it used solar power. Once I started listening to my music, I knocked out like a light.
Boy's buy the door p.o.v~ I knew she was going to open the door once I gave her the card. I just knew mainly because I've been watching her for years. I know how she thinks, and acts now. Even though she doesn't remember me, yet, I've been watching out for her and protection her. Ever since the accident, I promised myself that I would repay her parents for them helping me when I needed it the most.
Flash back~ I was a lonely child. Motherless, fatherless, homeless, unloved. I would wander the streets everyday just hoping someone to help me and give me a home. No one was kind anymore. But that all changed when I met the Stryker's. They were so kind to me. Especially Miss Hope. She was so beautiful and kind. I was walking by, when suddenly I bumped into someone. We both fell down on the floor. "Ow!" I said. Then suddenly, someone wrapped there arms around me, and I opened my eyes to see a little girl who couldn't be any older than me, maybe even younger. "Are you ok? I'm sorry if I hurt you, I wasn't paying attention."
She quickly helped me up, and took out a small towel, and held it up for me to use. "Please take it. I'm sorry if I hurt you you." When I looked at the little girl who wwas offering me her towl, I was at a loss for words. I started to cry, and I fell on the floor again. Then both Miss Hope and the little girl got on their knees, and asked if I was ok. "I'm sorry, but no one has ever been that kind to me ever, in my six years." That's when both of them hugged me. Miss Hope let go, and stood up. But when she let go, I saw that the little girl didn't let go of me. She squeezed tighter as she looked at Miss Hope with a serious look, and said, "Mother, I am not going to stand for this boy to be left alone, and unloved by everyone he comes across. So, Mother, I ask you to look in your heart, and give sympathy to him. I ask you to let him live with us until someone comes forward to claim him."
She didn't let go of me the entire time Miss Hope was looking at us and thinking of her daughter's remark. Then Miss Hope smiled, and looked at her daughter, "Ok, we will let him stay at our house." Her smile was so big that I was actually afraid it would get stuck like that. Then the little girl helped me up again, grabbed my hand, and entwined her fingers with mine. "Well that settles it, your going to be living with us for quite some time. Now my name is Destiny! And since that were going to be living with each other, I need to know your name." She looked at me with expectant eyes. "My name, well it's Colby Braydens." She smiled, and squeezed my hand. "Well, Colby Braydens, we'll need a nickname for you, because everyone in my family has a nickname, even my little brother, August." She put her finger up to her lips, and concentrated really hard.
The face she made, puffing out her cheecks, and furrowing her eyebrows, so that a crease was made in the middle of her brow. Then suddenly, she lifted her finger, and smiled at me. I saw that there was a dimple on the right side of her face, and she said excitedly, "How about, Prince!" I looked at her with what looked like a 'are you serious?' look. She laughed a little, and said, "Prince, because you were so kind and really sweet and cute when I first met you, and prince's all have those qualites." That's when I started getting comfortable with the idea.
"Ok, then. Is it ok for me to call you a nickname of my own?" She smiled even bigger, that I didn't even know was possible. "Ok, so how about Princess, because a princess is kind, humble, and they help any person out." I saw her bluch, and she shook her head yes. On the way to her house, we couldn't stop talking about things, well, I mainly listened to her. Once we arrived at her house, and she instantly took me up to meet her younger brother who she called Little Wonder. He was amazing, and we hit it off quickly. I was living in a fantasy that I never thought I would be able to live to see. It was going well, until that night. I was tucked away by Miss Hope, and she closed the door to my room which was on the lower level of the house. Then suddenly, I heard a scream about twenty minutes later.
I went out and saw what was going down. Princess was stabbing the horrible woman in the leg, and the woman hit Princess back. I was frozen with fear, and I didn't do anything. I wish I wasn't frozen with fear, and I could've probably helped her and saved Little Wonder. When the woman went away, I rushed to her side, and helped Princess into a sitting position. She wasn't moving, but she was breathing. I quickly lead her outside so she could get fresh breaths of air. When I heard signs in the distant, and I did something I would regret for the rest of my life. I didn't spend any time with her that entire day, and I just abandoned her. Then I dove into the bushes as the ambulence took her away to the hospital.
From that day, I never let her out of my sight once she got out of the hospital. I will always regret my actions from that day, and so I promised myself that I would always help her out as much as I could without getting in her way again.
