Allison POV:

A while later:

In the evening, Kie and I went home again and I was already in bed but was still looking at my phone until I got a message.
It was Rafe.

He wrote: "We didn't have a chance to talk at the Midsummer Festival, I just wanted to tell you that you looked beautiful today."

I smiled when I read that.
He immediately wrote the next message.

R: "If you want, I can come over again, but of course only if you want."

Allison: "But my parents and Kie are here."

R: "They won't notice me."

Allison: "And how could they not notice you?"

R: "I can come through the window."

Allison: "What if they come into my room because they hear us?"

R: "You can say you're tired and going to sleep and you'll come down with me"

Allison: "Okay"
R: "Well then, see you soon"

Allison: "See you soon"

I went to my parents and Kie and told them I was going to sleep now, I also closed and locked the door and waited for Rafe to come until there was a knock on the window, I immediately went to the window and opened it.
"Hey" I said with a smile
"Hey, are you coming?" he asked.
I waited until he climbed down the ladder and then I climbed down the ladder too.
We sat down on the grass and were quiet for a while and looked at the stars.
Then I looked at Rafe who was watching the stars.
"You're staring" he said with a smile.
"I'm not" I said, slightly nervous.
"Why didn't you come to me at the Midsummer Festival? Your friends had other things to do" Rafe asked.
"I was looking for you when my friends were busy but you were apparently busy chasing JJ" I said.
He sighed and looked at me while I just stared ahead at the stars.
"Why were you chasing him in the first place?" I asked.
"I don't know, we just did but he ran away for no reason at first." Rafe answered me.
"But you didn't have to run away afterwards, you could have come to me" he added.
"Rafe, they are my best friends, I can't just let them run off without me" I said.
"Right... I'm sorry, I chased JJ" he said.
"It's okay." I said with a little smile.
