The Demon Fox of the Night

The night sky cast a calm, silver glow over the forest of Wudao. (Y/n), Meng Li and Master Yun enjoyed the peaceful river sounds as they relaxed after a long day. Master Yun, lounging in his hammock, was half-asleep, his worn yet strong body still marked by decades of martial artistry. Nearby, Meng Li moved with fluid grace, practicing her sword dance, each motion controlled and precise. Meanwhile, (Y/n) was busy demolishing some leftover dragon meat, chewing with enthusiasm fueled by his Saiyan-sized appetite and metabolism.

After devouring a pile of meat and draining his gourd of water, (Y/n) suddenly felt an all-too-familiar pang. Uh-oh, the bladder's full! He thought, wincing. Desperate to relieve himself, he hurried to his grandfather, holding his crotch as he stammered, "Grandpa, Grandpa! I have to take a whiz! Just for a second, okay?"

Master Yun cracked one eye open, giving (Y/n) a sleepy but knowing look. Despite being sixty, Master Yun's body was lean and muscular, like an old tiger still ready to pounce. "Hold up," he said, glancing at Meng Li with a smirk. "Meng Li, better trim his tail for safety. Can't risk him going all giant monkey on us."

Meng Li grinned mischievously. "You got it, Grandpa!" With a flash of Qi, her sword gleamed and darted like lightning, slicing (Y/n)'s tail off in one clean motion.

A sharp yelp echoed through the forest. (Y/n) jumped, eyes wide with pain and surprise, still clutching himself as he stumbled backward. "Ow! What the heck, Meng Li?!"

But before he could protest more, the call of nature took over, and he bolted into the dark forest, muttering a pained "Owie!" as he ran deeper, disappearing into the shadows.

(Y/n) picked a random tree, sighing with relief as he finally took care of business. But halfway through, his ears caught the faint sound of shuffling nearby. His instincts kicked in, and he quickly zipped up his pants, dropping into a fighting stance. "Who's there?!" he called out, his voice echoing. "You can't hide from me—I can smell you from here! Come out, now!"

The shuffling stopped, and a moment later, an orange fox appeared from behind a bush, tilting its head curiously. (Y/n) relaxed, letting out a chuckle. "Oh, just an animal. Hey, little guy!"

The fox trotted closer, sniffing at his clothes with hopeful eyes. "Oh, you're hungry, huh?" (Y/n) muttered, digging around in his bag and pulling out his last piece of dragon meat. "I saved this for a snack, but I'm pretty full. Tell you what, let's share it!"

Just as he raised the meat to cut it in half, the fox shot forward at a monstrous speed, snatching it right from his hand. (Y/n) gaped as the fox looked back, a mischievous glint in its eye.

"Hey! We were supposed to share!" (Y/n) yelled, reaching out, but the fox shook its head and darted away. "Oh, so you think you can outrun me, huh? We'll see about that!"

With that, he charged after the fox, his legs pumping with Saiyan strength. The fox zigzagged through the forest, thinking it had scored a free meal, but (Y/n) was gaining fast, his sharp senses helping him keep track of its every move.

The fox darted between tree branches and leaped across rocks on a shallow river, glancing back with wide eyes as it realized (Y/n) was still hot on its tail. Using the skills honed from years of training, (Y/n) moved nimbly, his footwork light but precise, as he maneuvered through the terrain. He was close enough to reach out—his fingers inches from the fox's tail, the meat still clutched in its jaws.

But before he could grab it, the fox suddenly veered toward a tree, squeezing into a hollow trunk. Unable to stop in time, (Y/n) crashed right into the tree with a loud wham!

"Ouch! Dang it!" he muttered, rubbing his head and snapping his fingers in frustration. "Almost had it..."

Looking around, he realized he'd chased the fox so far that he was utterly lost. "Aw, great. Now I'm miles from camp—Grandpa will worry if I don't return soon." Shaking off defeat, he sighed and retraced his steps through the dark, dense forest.
