The Gray Toad (Toad Reader x FNF Mario Madness)

Chapter 4

Morning time came around.

You were silently annoyed at having to wake up in the morning, you just wanted to stay in bed a bit more. But you eventually had the courage to actually get up out of bed to start to get ready for the day.

After finally getting dressed for the day, you put on your hoodie and started to head out of your room to start the day.

You were still kind of tired from waking up too early in the morning, your eyes were only partly open.

You tiredly walked to the kitchen, where you saw the toads cooking breakfast, they greeted you by saying good morning.

In a tired voice, you said it back with a little wave. Walking to the table nearby, the other toads were eating breakfast.

You sat next to them and began to converse with them while eating breakfast to start the day.

After you finished eating breakfast, satisfied with the food you had consumed. You got up from the table and cleaned up your dishes. You then headed out the back door of the castle and started to walk outside.

The outside was cold and covered in gray clouds and a cool breeze, loving this kind of weather, the perfect kind for you. Slowly walking around the castle, you eventually found a nearby tree.

You sat up against the trees, listening to the cool winds that gently blew through the trees, lulling into a peaceful nap.

Meanwhile, with Mario and Luigi.

The brothers were at the kitchen table eating breakfast. They were both thinking about you. The first time they met you was amazing. They couldn't stop thinking about you. They wanted to visit you again.

''Hey Mario, want to go to the castle today? I want to go visit sleepy and see if we can hang out.'' spoke Luigi, seeing an excited smile form on his brother's face.

''Yeah! I want to see them too. I wonder if we ask Peach to see if they can hang out with us.'' Mario spoke back.

''Yeah, I noticed how the princess always wants to be around them a lot. It's like they're the only toad she cares about'' said Luigi.

Mario nodded his head. They both saw how the princess rushed them out of the castle. 

After they finished breakfast, they headed their way towards the kingdom. It wasn't sunny this time. The weather looked gloomy without the sun being shown, feeling the cool winds breeze against them.

When they walked to the castle, they knocked on the doors. A couple of seconds later, a green toad opened a door. He greatly smiled at the two brothers and frantically let them in.

They walked through the hallways of the kingdom. Around them were toads with worried looks on their faces. They looked at each other and shrugged as they continued to walk through the hallways.

Their eyes noticed the princess in a hallway talking to a red toad. She looked absolutely distressed about something, they quickly walked up to her to ask what the problem was.

In the corner of Peaches eye, she saw the brothers. She quickly walked towards them.

"Mario! Luigi! I need your help! Bowser is about to attack the castle, and I don't know where Sleepy is!" She frantically told them.

They both widened their eyes. Bowser was attacking again, what a surprise. But they were worried about you more.

"Huh- Wait, again?! What are we going to do- and what do you mean that you don't know where sleepy is?!" spoke Mario.

''Y-yeah! did you see them this morning?!'' Luigi asked Peach.

"No, I didn't! I need to know if they're ok before Bowser attacks!" she yelled back at them. They needed to know where you were right now.
