In the dim, confined space, Bondita's fingers tremble as she presses the call button, her heart pounding with hope. She silently prays Anirudh will answer.unaware that in the wedding mandap, the phone begins to ring faintly, cutting through the festive music.
Just as Ani reaches for it, Kaki's sharp eyes catch sight of the call. Before he can pick it up, Kaki's sharp gaze lands on him, her expression hardening.
Kaki : yeh kya kar rahe ho, Anirudh?
her tone laced with feigned sweetness but with an unmistakable hint of control.
Mandap mein, dulha kisi aur ki call uthata accha nahi lagta. Tumhari toh shaadi ho rahi hai, bas yahi pe dhyan do.
Before he can protest, she snatches the phone from his hand. Switching it off, she tucks it away in her saree folds with a practiced ease.
Bondita, her heart racing with desperation, tries to redial. The call doesn't connect. She frowns, her hope faltering as she tries again, fingers trembling more urgently now.
Hey Durga Maa! Yeh toh call bhi nahin utha rahe.... kuch bhi kar ke plz mera clue un tak phunch jaye aur wo shaadi postponed kar de.....yeh shaadi nahin honi chaiye......plzz Durga Maa madad karo
Ek baar doubara try karu kyaa??? Bohot chinta ho rehi hai mujhe.....plzz call utha lijiye .........plzz Sakhababu apki bondita ko apki zaroorat hai... Please
But before she can attempt once more, she hears footsteps approaching. The second goon, who had gone outside, returns and catches her with the phone in her hand.He lets out a furious shout,
Aye, yeh kya kar rahi hai!
The noise startles the other goon awake, who jerks up from his slumber and instantly notices Bondita with the phone. His face twists with anger, and before she can react, he lunges forward, ripping the phone from her grasp.
Without warning, he slaps her hard across the face. The blow is so forceful that she reels back, her head swimming. Her vision blurs, the room spinning as she feels herself slipping into a dazed, almost paralyzed state. She can hear the angry voices around her but can't respond, her body too stunned to react. Her mind is conscious, but she's trapped in a silent, helpless state, the pain and helplessness pressing down on her like a weight.
As she fades into a semi-conscious state, the last thought lingering in her mind is of Anirudh, her only hope and strength.
The two goons exchange a nervous glance as they look at Bondita's limp form, fear creeping into their expressions. The room, once filled with their menacing energy, now seems to grow quieter, thick with an eerie tension.
Kahin yeh marr toh nahi gayi?
whispers the goon who slapped her, his voice shaking, barely more than a breath. His tough exterior falters as he studies her still form, doubt and unease flickering across his face.
The goon leans closer, crouching down, his hand extending hesitantly towards her neck, fingers reaching out to check for a pulse. But before he can make contact, a sudden, brutal blow crashes against the back of his head. His eyes widen in shock, and he crumples forward, his body hitting the floor with a dull thud, his grip on consciousness slipping.
The other goon whirls around, his eyes darting in alarm, only to see Anirudh standing in the doorway, fury blazing in his gaze. His posture is tense, fists clenched tightly at his sides as he takes in the scene, his gaze hardening as it lands on Bondita's bruised face.
