The lights flashed on, blinding the islanders and waking them up once again. Kamari pulled the covers over her head to try and block them out.
"Good morning beautiful people!" Arushi exclaimed from her bed.
Kamari grumbled a response before she stuffed her pillow over her head, making Miguel laugh from the bed beside her. Everyone was always way too happy and energetic in the morning for her.
Kamari felt a presence in front of her, peaking through the blanket over her head, she saw Arushi with her hands on her hips and a smile almost as blinding as the lights on her face.
"Good morning Kariiii!" Arushi teased as she reached for the younger girls hand.
Kamari tried to shrink further into the bed, but to no avail as Arushi had caught ahold of her arm with a vice grip and to Kamari's displeasure, Arushi gently yanked the younger girl out of bed until she stood up completely.
"Whyyyy," Kamari groaned and placed her face into her hands. Arushi engulfed her in a hug, swaying her side to side.
"Becauseeeee," Arushi mimicked, grabbing the girl's hand and leading her to the bathroom.
After brushing their teeth and washing their faces, they walked to the makeup room where the rest of the girls were. Sitting down, Kamari began doing her hair as Stella sat down on her other side.
Once she was finished, Kamari and Stella then made their way down to the sun loungers where they decided to take a rest just as a tall shadow blocked her view of the sun.
"You're in my way," Kamari muttered with a frown, before looking up to see Miguel stood there balancing a plate and two cups in his hands.
Chuckling slightly, he responded, "Oh, I'm sorry, I'll just go and pour this tea and egg on toast I spent so long working on away."
"Aw, there's no need to be like that, now is there," Kamari pouted mockingly, taking the mug and plate from his hand as she sat up, "But thank you," she said with a smile, kissing him lightly on the cheek.
"Anything for you, little miss thing," he grinned before he handed Stella the other cup full of coffee.
"For me?" Stella asked surprised, accepting the cup. "That's so sweet. Kari, you better keep this one."
"I know you don't like avocado toast, So I made somethin better for you. And I know you only drink chai in the mornin so..."
Kamari smiled looking up at him, "How do you know that?"
"I have my ways," Miguel teased with a funny voice.
"If this is the treatment I get after I reject you, I should do it more often," she teased as he walked away laughing.
