The park was quiet that afternoon, with the sound of birds chirping in the distance and leaves rustling gently in the breeze. It was the perfect place for Zee and her friends to meet up, away from the prying eyes of the world. They gathered under the shade of a large tree, a few feet away from the main walking path, the sun casting a soft glow over their faces.

"Okay, we need to talk," Zee began, looking around at the group, her voice serious. "We can’t keep pretending everything’s normal. These powers—whatever they are—are getting harder to ignore."

"I can’t even have a normal conversation without feeling like I might set something on fire," Kalli muttered, glancing at her hands. "The heat... it’s like it’s burning from the inside out."

"I feel you, Kalli," Zee said, her voice filled with understanding. "Ang hirap, ‘no? Hindi ko na alam kung paano ko ikokontrol ‘to."

"I feel the same way," River added, rubbing her temples. "Earlier today, I almost stopped time at the grocery store. Just by focusing on the clock... Everything froze around me, but no one seemed to notice. It’s... unsettling."

"Parang may mga pagkakataon na hindi ko na kayang kontrolin," River admitted, clearly troubled by her newfound abilities.

Niamh, who had been staring off into space as usual, nodded absently. "I’ve been... seeing things. Not just the usual... dreams. But flashes. Like... like I’m glimpsing things that haven’t happened yet. But they feel real, like they’re meant to happen."

"I’ve had similar experiences," Aria spoke calmly, though there was a hint of worry in her voice. "My power feels like it’s... bending reality. I’ve had things shift around me, like doors warping or objects floating. But I’m scared of what might happen if I lose control."

"We need help," Aria continued, looking at each of them. "I can feel that things will get worse if we don’t learn how to control this."

Zee let out a deep sigh, her hands instinctively flexing at her sides. Water swirled briefly around her fingers before she forced it to still. "I think we all know we need to learn how to control this. But how do we even begin? We’re not even sure what’s going on with us."

"We need to figure this out," Zee said, determination creeping into her voice. "Kailangan nating matutunan kung paano kontrolin ‘to. Pero saan tayo magsisimula?"

Kalliope shifted uncomfortably, her fingers twitching as if she were trying to keep her fiery temper in check. "I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like I can’t keep this bottled up much longer. If it gets worse..."

"I think we all feel the same," River added, her voice filled with unease. "But where do we go from here?"

Hannie, who had been quiet throughout the conversation, looked at the group with uncertainty in her eyes. "Guys, I... I don’t think I have anything. I mean, none of these things have happened to me. I’m just... normal."

The others looked at her, surprised by her words. "Don’t say that," Kalli said, her tone gentle. "We’re all going through this together. Maybe your power just hasn’t shown itself yet."

"Yeah," Zee agreed. "You’re just as strong as the rest of us. You’re not alone in this, Hannie."

But Hannie only shook her head, still unsure. "I don’t know. Maybe I’m just... lucky?"

As the conversation continued, the girls were lost in their thoughts, trying to make sense of what was happening to them. But little did they know, their powers were only beginning to unfold, and the real challenge was yet to come.

Unbeknownst to them, a figure stood a few yards away, hidden behind a thick tree. A woman, her presence almost invisible to the group as she leaned in, eavesdropping on every word they spoke. Her sharp eyes never left the girls as they conversed, her lips curling into a faint, knowing smile.

The woman pulled out her phone and spoke softly into it, her voice low but clear enough to hear. "It’s confirmed," she said, her tone cold and professional. "They’re the ones. I’ve seen them. They’re beginning to realize their powers. We need to proceed with the next phase. Keep them under surveillance."

She paused for a moment, listening intently to the voice on the other end. "Yes, I’ll stay here and observe. They won’t be able to hide from what’s coming. We can’t afford to let them get too comfortable."

As the woman ended the call, she stepped back from the tree, blending into the shadows. Her gaze lingered on the girls for a moment longer before she disappeared into the distance, leaving no trace behind.

"We’ll figure it out. Together."

But even as Zee said the words, a lingering sense of unease settled in her chest. Something was watching them, something they hadn’t anticipated. And the feeling that their world was shifting was only growing stronger with each passing moment.
