Chapter 123: Yaya: Huh? Am I the Chosen One?
Matthew examined closely, noticing that the "+" sign after True Dragon Bloodline had become more detailed.
"Would you like to consume 50,000 experience points + 1,000 Fate Coins to grant Yaya a perfect evolution?"
Feeling a pang of heartache, Matthew shuddered. Just a couple of days ago, he had been conflicted.
"How do I use all this experience without leveling up my class?"
"I need to find a way to quickly turn it into combat power!"
Well, now it was gone. With Yaya's little bite, more than half had vanished, leaving him with only 3,200 experience points.
As for Fate Coins, he still had 1,700 left, which was just barely sufficient.
However, Matthew quickly began to console himself.
"Yaya and I are one; as she grows stronger, so do I!"
As Matthew made his choice, a blue light, visible only to him, quickly enveloped Yaya, who remained completely unaware.
Smiling, Matthew said to her:
"Meditation is the process where you train your mental strength and absorb elemental energy..."
The little one nodded along as she listened, completely oblivious to the changes happening in her body.
She just found that what Matthew was saying became easier and easier to understand, and finally, with a moment of realization, she said:
"Huh? Is this meditation? I think I get it!"
Then, she immediately closed her eyes and curled up in Matthew's lap, softly coiling her body.
"Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!"
Listening to the sound of Yaya's soft breathing as she fell asleep, Matthew couldn't help but find it both amusing and frustrating that she could just fall asleep like that.
Looking down, he saw that Yaya's shiny head now had three big words clearly written on it.
"In Meditation..."
Good grief!
"Did Yaya just combine meditation and sleep?"
Although Matthew found it hard to believe, the "Meditation" ability on Yaya's status panel wasn't a lie.
"Meditation level +1, currently 2!"
"Meditation level +1, currently 3!"
"Meditation level +1..."
"..."
In no time at all, Yaya's meditation level had broken through the beginner stage, advancing smoothly to the intermediate level.
This delighted Matthew, as it signified that Yaya's spellcasting abilities were finally progressing in the right direction.
Matthew knew that the time left for him and his territory's development was limited.
Yaya, as his most important trump card, would have to grow stronger to give him more room for maneuvering.
For a dragon, whether developing in close combat or enhancing spellcasting, both had a bright future.
But!
Given the limited time, the latter developed faster and could be converted into combat power sooner!
Now that Yaya had finally begun improving her spellcasting, Matthew naturally wouldn't hesitate to invest more resources into her.
The 50,000 experience points and 1,000 Fate Coins were clearly just the beginning.
