The following weeks passed since Usagi agreed to train with Piccolo. However, they continued to train, but this time, Usagi's training began to get hard. She hasn't used the dark magic and used her transformation as Sailor Moon. She doesn't even use Dr. Gero's journey. Usagi admitted it went pretty well after she learned from Piccolo.
It was almost like she was becoming a better person if it wasn't for Piccolo.
Unfortunately, the longer she neared him, the more she was distracted; Piccolo noted this just to give out a task. There was something she wanted to say about Piccolo. After everything he had helped her.
Piccolo had his arms around, pretending he was capturing her. "Now that I got you, what will you do?"
"I... I..." Usagi tried to figure out how to free herself, but she knew it was too hard.
"Listen up, Usagi, if you can't keep your guard up, you'll get distracted and be defeated. If you can't think how to free yourself, you'll also get defeated." Piccolo said, still holding her.
"Then how will I do that?" Usagi asked, looking uneasy until Piccolo noticed her expression.
"Is there something you want to tell me, Usagi?" Piccolo asked, arching his brows.
She looked away. "It's nothing."
"Why not? If something is wrong, you can tell me and I can help you." Piccolo said.
She gritted her teeth softly. "Piccolo... let me go."
He was about to protest, but he obeyed her, so he released his grip and let her go. After that, he decided to check on her. However, they landed on the ground.
"What's wrong?" Piccolo asked again.
"I can't tell you if you won't understand me," Usagi said nervously.
"What do you mean? How can you tell me what is wrong if I can't help you?" He asked, now getting impatient. He had his arms folded, frowning at the back of her head.
She sighed in defeat before she faced him. "Being with you made me feel safer and happy."
He gave her a confused look. "What?"
"Look, Piccolo, I think you are the reason I changed back into a better person. I became a better person because of you." Usagi began.
He arched his eyebrows in curiosity. "Wait... I have?"
"If it wasn't for you, I would never be the same as I used to be. I-I should thank you for helping me out of realization, Piccolo." Usagi said as her eyes filled up with tears constantly.
"What do you realize of, Usagi?" Piccolo asked.
"I just realized I hurt my friends a lot the same way they hurt me. I realized I was a monster who attempted to kill them. Even though Goku was right, part of me refuses to kill everyone I love." Usagi said. It was then she started to cry as she buried her face with her hands.
"Usagi, don't cry. I told you many times, haven't I?" It was then Piccolo came up to her and embraced her, comforting her from the pain she was in. He wanted to stop her from crying, but he knew it was wrong to force someone to hide their emotions. It would be better to let someone cry.
"You know what?" He then let out a smile as he continued to hug her. "You can cry as you want. I don't care."
"Thank you, Piccolo, for everything... You're the reason I became a better person..." Usagi sobbed.
"You're welcome... Usa," Piccolo began to give her a nickname.
"Usa?" She looked at him, confused.
"Do you not like what I called you?" Piccolo asked curiously.
