I see Alastor leaned up against one of the pillars outside. He is wearing so low key red and black clothing and even a hat that fits his cute deer ears. As I get closer to him, I realized his aroma smelled nicer than usual.
Is he wearing cologne for this date? Why I am flattered, I do feel like maybe I should have put more of an effort in my outfit. I began to feel self-conscious and crossed my arms over my stomach.
"Wow you look ravishing this evening" Alastor says while looking me up and down
"Oh thanks" I say not wanting to actually tell him how I don't agree at all
"Well shall we head off then" he says offering me his arm
"If we must" I say not wanting to show interest mainly because I don't want to let my guard down too much
I hold on to his arm, following him down the street. He is choosing where we are going. So I'm not sure exactly where this date will take us, I just hope it's fun at least. We start turning into the park. It's all abandoned and torn down, but I like it that way because then I don't have to socialize.
He then leads me to a part of the park I don't recognize. He folds back some branches and shows me this beautiful flower bed and a nice stream next to it. I am surprised, I didn't think hell would have such a thing.
"How did you find this?" i ask
"Oh, I didn't find it, I made it" he replies
"Wait, what do you mean you made it?" I ask
"I have a fascination for pretty things, like flowers, it reminds me of my youth" he says
"That makes sense, so you grew these yourself?" I ask
"Yes, I also dug the stream myself and also put a protection seal around the area so that no one can disturb this sacred place" he says
"Classy, protecting your happy place I respect that" I say
"Anyway, your majesty, I thought we could sit by the flowers and have a picnic to get to get to know each other better" he says
He planned a picnic by a flower and stream during the sunset. I wouldn't have taken the radio demon as a romantic. Alastor then pulls out a blanket and places it on the grass. He then summons a picnic basket and places it beside him on the blanket. He motions for me to take a seat, and I obey.
"So, when did you make all this food?" I ask
"Oh, I put it together late last night" he says while setting out the food
"Wait, you put this together last night? Did you sleep?" I ask concerned
"I tried but I was too excited about our date that I just wanted to make sure it was special" he says
"Oh wow, that is quite the effort, no one has really done this much for me before" I say while smiling
"I simply don't understand why not, I mean look at you, you are such a great specimen and so generous as well, I don't see how anyone could not treat you like well royalty" he says
I blush at his compliment. I wasn't expecting him to be so kind and gentleman-like.
"Well, I spent most my days alone after Charlie left the nest if you know what I mean" I say while taking a bite of the sandwich I made
"Yes, so i heard" he says
He looked disappointed when saying that and I understand why. He was pitying me and my loneliness. I've seen it all before, which is another reason why I swing for one-night stands instead of pure relationships. Then you don't have to have the emotional trauma dumping conversations. You can just fuck to your hearts content and then never see each other again.
"Luci, I know you haven't had the treatment you deserve but I promise you I am only here to make you feel good never to hurt you" he says
"I appreciate the sentiment but really I don't need you to pity me deer" I say
"I am not pitying you your majesty, I am simply showing you a great time and making you feel like you deserve the world" he says
"You know this is all so new to me and I don't mean to be rude, but I truly just don't believe what you are saying, I really want to truly I do but I've seen people I've trusted before hurt me and I just don't want to go through that phase in my tragic life again" I say
Alastor is stunned by my words and even looks a little hurt. Should I have said all of that? Ugh I'm so fucking stupid I probably just ruined everything now.
"I'm sorry, I'll just go back to the hotel, enjoy your meal" I say trying to get up and leave before i embarrass myself more
Alastor reaches up and gently grabs my hand. "No stay, please" he says with pleading eyes
I sit back down and look at him. He scoots closer so that we are almost right next to each other. He takes my left hand into his and just looks up at the sunset. It's such a sweet moment that I don't ever want to end.
I lay my head against his shoulder and take in the breathtaking view. We watch the sun gently go down. I look up at him, seeing Alastor smile is nothing new to me but this one feels different and sweeter. Like it was meant for me personally.
We stay for a good fifteen minutes and then begin to pack everything up. I have to say this is one of the strangest moments I've ever had with someone. We head back to the hotel, but we take our time walking. We use the back entrance, and he walks me back to my room again.
"Well, this is you Luci" he says while pointing to my door
"I'd have to say, i had a really nice time today with you" I said
"I had a really nice time with you as well, your majesty" he says
"Alastor, can you do me a favor?" I say
"I am not staying the night on the first date" he says with a smile
"No no not that, I mean can you please not call me majesty, it makes me feel entitled" I say
"Oh, yes certainly, I had no idea" he says
"It's all good, now you know" I say
"Oh also, I wouldn't invite you to my bed on the first date, I'm not that kind of guy" I say which is true because this is a date and not a hookup
"Oh good, because I plan on taking you on many more dates and then we can see about the sharing a bed event" he says
He then takes my hand into his again and brings it close to his mouth. He then proceeds to kiss my hand gently. I blush not expecting this.
"Goodnight Luci" he says while walking to his room
"Goodnight, deer" I say as I close my door
I change into my pajamas and hop right into bed. I lay my head against the soft pillow and drift off into sleep.
