The Overlord's Meeting

I sneak in the building through the elevator safely. To my surprise, the building was pretty and nicely decorated. There was a red carpet and many more elevators. There was a shield and two swords on the walls as decoration too. This was really chic. I continue walking when I heard voices from the door in front of me. Then I heard Alastor's voice from there and I was sure they were there. I just had to sneak in there. But how was I gonna do that with a bunch of powerful demons? I just wish I could go invisible or turn into a shadow like Alastor's-

I felt a weird feeling go through my body as if I didn't have any mass or weight. I was feeling worried because why the fuck would this happen out of nowhere. Unless.. I turn around to check my reflection and just as I had expected, I couldn't see myself. So I had turned invisible. I didn't know I could do that. Right now I can easily sneak in without them knowing. I was just about to open the door handle when one of the elevator door opens again. A girl with her hairs tied up and the probably the coolest outfit ever steps in. She was on the phone and looked pissed off. Then I realised it was Velvette who is one of the member of the Vees and the internet popular. She kicks the door open like a girl boss and walks in without a care. I slip in with her into the room and all the eyes were on her the moment she stepped in. But she wasn't bothered about the eyes on her and was chating away in her phone.

I kneel down and get on all fours so I could crawl under the table without bumping into anyone. I scurry under the table quickly without a delay and take a quick break before I continued. Then I feel noises overhead and it felt like someone tossed something in the table harshly. I try to concentrate to listen on what's going above till I hear Alastor say tasty. Did someone bring out food? I could feel my brain being tempted to go up and look if it was food or not but I shake my head so I could concentrate again. I look around searching for the egg. I finally find the egg. I slowly make my way to him till I hear someone singing. The latina lady.

"You better show some respect! Check your behavior! no one speaks to Zestial that way!" She sings and stretches the last words.

Why the fuck am I stuck in some musical.

She continues singing and boasting about the spider demon being great while I concentrate on getting the egg. I quickly pick him up and he looked terrified. I shush him and put my hand on his mouth. I look around again and then noticed that Velvette's legs weren't there. That meant that she was on the table and I could get out without bumping into her. I slowly crawl out of there hoping the egg is following me. Just as I was about to make it out, I hear the Latina lady announcing that the meeting has ended. Great. Now everyone is going to get up. With that, their stupid little song ends and Velvette leaves followed by everyone soon. The egg was already out but I was still stuck in here. Suddenly I felt like my energy was draining out and I suddenly hit a realisation. I quickly check at my reflection and see myself this time.

Great now I wasn't invisible anymore and now I'll have to find another way out. My head throbbed in pain as I tried to turn back invisible but I failed. I let out a sigh and continue getting out of there. But I pause in my tracks when I  hear Alastor outside.

"Hmm. Well that's interesting." I hear Alastor ponder. "You, little egg creature. I have a job for you." Alastor orders the egg. Fuck him.

"Yes boss!" No don't agree dumb egg. You have to come with me.

"Follow them." Alastor tells him. Presumably he wants the egg to follow the latina lady who was singing earlier.

I see the egg run on his little legs and disappear. I cross my fingers hoping that Alastor would go away without noticing me at all. Alastor starts walking to the door and I feel relief creep up to me slowly till it was washed away when he stops right in front of me. I clutch my eyes closed hoping it's not what I think it is. After a moment of silence and no movement, I decided to open my eyes. I see Alastor looking at me with a smug smile tugging on his lips.

"I knew I was correct when I felt you were here." He replied to my visible confusion,

"What you felt I was here?-"

"Do you plan on getting out? We have buisness to take care of after all." He blurted out and didn't let me complete but I let that slide. I get back up from under the table with the help of his hand he offered and brush off the dust in my clothes.

"Oh yeah by the way, what was that all about?" I ask him hoping he would explain.

"Oh nothing special for you to worry your mind over." Alastor says as he taps my head with his cane.

"Come on please tell me." I beg him and shot him the puppy eyes.

Alastor caved in and explained me about how the overlord's are the demons with great powers and are really powerful. The latina lady, Carmilla Carmine is the weapon dealer who held this meeting and the spider demon was Zestial. Then Alastor even tells me that the Vees are also Overlord's of hell and I should never mees with them. I nod in understanding and he sighs. It felt like a sigh of relief. He was probably happy that I was gonna stay out of trouble. We finally reach the last floor and get back on the streets. I look around confused hoping I didn't loose the egg Bois but found them digging in a dumpster hopelessly looking around. I get them out of there before Alastor sees them messing around while he interrogated the other egg who was back after spying.

"So, what did you hear?" I overheard Alastor ask him.

"First, the old guy w-was all, 'Y-you're not yourself. You're the one who killed the angel," a-a-and, she was all," he paused before continuing. "Whatever it takes" He sang.

"And then what was the last thing?" He questioned.

"She killed the angel?" The egg boy replies with unsurety in his voice.

I turn around on my heels the moment I hear that sentence. Someone killed an Angel? The one who kill us can be killed? How the fuck did a singing latina lady do this?

"Interesting. Lets keep this between us," static surrounds his voice and his grin widens at the egg. "shall we?" He said with pure static in his voice.

"You got it, boss!" The egg boy looked unfazed and sent a salute to Alastor as a promise. After that we all make our way back to the hotel with the egg Bois. He must have changed his mind of throwing them away.
