3 days before Valentine's Day

I was waiting in my dept's entrance as love called me last night and told me to meet here today after I am done with my works. So instead of going home at this 4 pm I had to wait for her.

"Heyyyy I missed you" she came running and hugged me tight. "C'mon get off me and tell me why you called me here suddenly" I replied trying to free myself from her hold. "Are you this cruel to your senior team members too?" she asked freeing me. "I ain't be different just because they are seniors" I responded.

"Well forget about me, what's going with you huh?" I added and she asked in confusion "huh? What about me?" "You've been hanging out with your senior lately and forgot about my existence too" I said looking away pretending to be hurt. "Eh it’s not how you thinking, it’s just she is good" she replied with a bit shyness. "Ah is that so?" I asked teasingly nudging her shoulder. "Ui stop na! Ah I literally forgot about the main thing" saying that she checked her bag and brought out a pastry box  handing it to me.

"What's this for?" I asked raising my eyebrow in confusion. "For you" she said smiling. "Any occasion?" I asked again still not taking it. "Eh take it. Actually there's Valentine's day in 3 days and Iam not sure if I can meet you on the day so I am giving you this in advance" she explained and I just nodded. "But why are you giving me? Shouldn’t you give it to your crush?" I asked chuckling.

"I believe Valentine's isn’t for only lovers, it’s for any relations and you are my only close friend here, also our first Valentine's spending together. And that's why I gave you pastries, instead of chocolates for the friendship love" she explained the whole thing while I just nodded again in agreement.

"Are you changing your major to philosophy huh? Come on tell me who gave this philosopher type ideas" I said and she hit me lightly. "No one gave  me any idea okay! Umm I just learned it from my Phi, he does this and says too" she exclaimed. "Then your phi is a good philosopher" I said checking the pastries in the box. "Nah, he is a future lawyer" she replied in excitement but I don’t know why hearing that I was left in unknown curiosity.

I was gonna ask more but got a call from mark so I just bid goodbye to love. "I gotta go now, see you later" I left saying that and after walking few steps I remembered I didn’t even thank her so I turned around and called her out "LOVE! THANKS" and she smiled from there.

It was next day morning and I left early to pick up some cupcakes to give it to love as a return gift of pastries. I went to phi jerry's Cafe as usual to buy the cupcakes. I choosed the strawberry cupcakes and gave my order for take out.

Suddenly phi jerry came to me "you were a never take out guy, why this? Any special person huh?" she asked teasingly and I chuckled. "It’s for my friend who is a girl by the way" I replied correcting her assumptions cause she already knows I am not interested in girls. "Here's your order, sir" the staff said handing me the paper bag and I took it slightly bowing. I was leaving and phi jerry shouted "you can try dating girls too" I heard her laughing after saying it so I jokingly shouted back without turning "I will see then"

"Damn you startled me" I said suddenly spotting Sea in the entrance of our dept building. "I was going for library so I thought let's go together" he offered. "I didn-" he didn’t even let me finish. "Come on, we are getting late" saying that he started walking. This guys really have the habit of always cutting me off in the middle aaghh.

"Well do you really like keen?" he asked out of nowhere. "Why do I need to tell you that?" I asked back raising an eyebrow. "I mean I just wanted to inform you are not his type" he stated and I also replied back "I don't believe Just anyone’s word until he says to me himself" and it was enough to make him shut up while I grinned in satisfaction.

"It isn’t the way to library?" I said in confusion. "Yeah, we are going to law dept first to pick up phi gemini" he replied unbothered like he didn’t just change the direction without my consent. "Why are you suddenly picking up people today? And he isn’t a kid that you will need to pick up" I scoffed saying that. But he just ignored my words and started walking towards a classroom.

Wait if I remember that's keen's classroom. Then I saw Sea walking towards where keen was sitting and I knew I don’t wanna third wheel Between them again. So I started walking in the hallway in case I'd find that other brat. On the way I was mockingly muttering to myself "going to pick up phi Gemini. Aisshh you could've just said you came to pick up keen" and glared towards Sea's direction.

"Wow you started talking with ghosts now! Impressing!" I heard a voice saying and when I saw who it was I rolled my eyes on him. "What are you doing here though? Don't tell me you came to pick me up, ouch my heart couldn’t handle" he dramatically said. "To ruin your fantasies, it’s actually sea dragged me here saying to pick you up but he instead went to keen. And I didn’t want to third wheel Between them again so I ended up here" I explained with a fake smile plastered on my face.

"Sea? Picking me up? Eh you are just making up to hide the fact you came for me" he spoke pretending to be shy over what he said and I looked at him in disbelief. "Didn’t know lawyers are this delulu" saying that I started walking away while he followed.

We are now walking finally to our destination 'library'. Yes 'we' because this brat has been walking with me and the other two walking in front of us in a few distance. And I was observing them while thinking about what to do with them.

"Hey, do you know any way to make them together?" I asked and gemini seemed confused at first but replied after the realization. "How would I know that?" "I thought lawyers know everything" I replied still looking at them. "We are lawyers, not cupid" he replied back but I couldn’t focus on the reply anymore when I saw a girl approaching Sea with a chocolate box.

I stopped in my track and stopped gemini helding his arm. What shocked me more was sea accepted the chocolate box from the girl and I immediately looked at keen whose face turned into pale and full of sadness. Suddenly gemini asked "you like chocolates?" and I looked at him will full of confusion and disbelief "Huh?" "Answer yes or no fast" he asked again. "I mean I can eat-" before I could finish he spoke "ok cool" and ran towards Sea?

The next scene I witnessed was Gemini snatching the chocolate box from Sea Saying "I really love chocolates" and last glanced at keen before running away with the chocolate box. Realising what he just did made me smile unknowingly. Yeah it was silly but at least it was to make feel keen at ease that sea won't be eating the chocolates.

Then I suddenly remember something! The cupcakes in my bag! And an idea popped in my head. I took the box out and ran towards Sea & Keen. "Here take it, I actually bought this extra and you both can have it by sharing" I handed the box in keen's hand giving him a quick wink gesturing towards Sea and ran away without hearing their reply.

After I was out of their sight I started walking normally while chuckling and recalling what I just did. "Sorry love, I will buy you next time" I murmured to myself and spotted gemini at a distance in front of the library entrance door.

"Took you too long to come, what you did for so long?" he asked spotting me. "Had to clean up the silly mess you caused" I replied. He laughed and said "I mean this is the least I could do or else that idiot Sea would eat those chocolates" "And keen would get sad" we both said in unison. Immediately we looked at each other in realization and laughed together. 

"Ah here is your chocolate, finish it or else that girl will be sad his phi Sea couldn’t eat it all" he said dramatically fake crying. "You stole it so I ain't eating alone. You are having it with me" I replied. "Alright then. But let's go inside before they both come and spot us" saying that he left for inside and I stood there for a moment thinking how he just didn’t nag me with my words and agreed quickly. Suddenly those words left my mouth "maybe you aren't that bad as I thought"
