CHAPTER16 - DESTINED

Before Khaotung Or Mix could say anything, First said what happened in the past days. All this time while talking, First held Khaotung's hand tightly. First's side of the story was too little and easy to explain. When he regained consciousness Earth was by his side he didn't give it much thought because he knows his brother really worries about him.

Even in the past when First fell sick Earth would stay by his side without sleeping. But First sensed something was off when Earth made silly excuses to not give First his phone. Earth may not realize it but First can see through his words even when they were just kids. But First reached his limit when Earth prohibited First from going out at all.

First was caged. He tried everything but he couldn't make any contact with the outside of the world. He wasn't able to reach out to his own family. So First did the obvious running away from home. Thankfully that place wasn't far away from Khaotung and Mix's but without enough money and phone it took First three hours to reach his destination. So it's not a wonder Earth found out his little brother was missing.

While First explained things to Mix and Khao, Earth kept calling Mix which he didn't answer. After hearing everything Khaotung was mad “is your brother out of his mind?” Khaotung said but before Mix could ask him to watch his language First hitted Khaotung's hand by saying “don't talk like that about my brother”

Khaotung didn't understand why First was still defending his brother and to be fair First was cursing at Earth a few seconds ago. This has to be brother privilege, like he can say bad things about his brother but he will burn the world alive if someone else does it. Before further talking could happen, Mix noticed First's stomach growling so he prepared food for First and he ate it as if he hadn't seen food for a week.

First seemed to be enjoying the dinner. It's not his usual fancy dinner but it made his heart full. He was still holding Khaotung's hand so Khao didn't eat anything and it seemed that First didn't realize it and Mix didn't mention it either. As First took the last bite their doorbell rang, not once or twice it kept ringing and everyone knew who was at the other side just by this.

Mix opened the door and Earth rushed to Khaotung, he looked furious, he clenched his fist and was about to hit the other but suddenly First came in between them. Earth held back his hand and looked guilty as he realized he might have hurt his brother instead of Khaotung. “What are you doing P’? ” First, I sounded upset. “firr firr it's not the time! And I'm still angry about what you did” Earth said. “Oh really? That serves you right. Why are you trying to hurt my BOYFRIEND? I have never treated p'Mix like this”

After hearing boyfriend Earth lose all his cool but on the other hand Khaotung had the biggest smile on his face, his eyes were fixed on First who was standing in front of him as a human shield. “Has anyone told you your smile is really annoying?” Earth said to Khaotung but First took the offense. But before anyone else Earth spoke again “you…little alpha, let's talk, follow me” And went out Khaotung did what Earth said and closed the door behind him so Mix and First weren't able to hear or see them.

Earth didn't say anything so Khaotung broke the silence “I love him” Without wasting a second Earth grabbed Khaotung by his collar and pinned on the wall “I know he loves you more… but do you know what that caused him?” Earth sounded worried. Khaotung didn't say anything because he was confused by Earth's question. Is it because of his family? Is it because of Khaotung's background? Financial situation? That's all the questions that popped up in his mind.

Then he realized even Earth is not a little bit concerned about these things but he had a much bigger reason. Earth explained why he is angry and what is the price of First's love. Earth never liked the idea of his little brother dating but he didn't intervene because he didn't want to hurt First by doing so. But everything changed the night First was hospitalized. The Doctor had a talk with Earth and after that he was ready to become the villain in his brother's eyes.

Doctor asked more about First's love life and whether he was being bullied in school which made Earth confused. ‘Why is the doctor interested in all these things if it's just a fever?’ That was the question Earth had. Doctor then explained his concerns and the cause of First's fever. It's not just a fever, he got sick because of sudden changes in his pheromones.

First is currently in the process of ‘pheromonal bonding’. Pheromonal bonding is more or less like ‘marking’ and there is a misconception that pheromonal bonding happens after marking or when the couple is soulmates but that's not true. There are cases of pheromonal bonding in which the subject parties are not even aware of it, it's the same as First. But what makes First's case one in a million is that it's a ‘one sided pheromonal bonding’

Here First has a one sided bond that means First's pheromones will be completely dependent on Khaotung's where it won't matter to Khaotung. Khaotung can mate with any other omega and live without First with no problem but once the bond completely develops that won't be the case for First. He won't accept any other alpha pheromone other than his bonded one. And if there comes a point in his life where he is unable to maintain contact with the bonded alpha for a long time then it can be life threatening.

Pheromonal bondings are not common even for marked pairs; it takes decades to bond their pheromones and many prefer it that way too because it's worse than marking when they decide to go separate ways. There are people who  like to romanticize pheromonal bonding. They call it destiny and a blessing which only happens between DESTINED MATE'S.

hearing all this from doctor Earth was worried sick. His brother was still a kid and he had a long  way to go in life. He was afraid this pheromonal bonding would imprison First. And what if First is the only one who is attached in his relationship Khaotung can always go back without any consequences but First will suffer. No.. No… no… only First will suffer if that day comes. Earth didn't know what to do but the only thing stuck in his mind was that the pheromonal bonding process was not completed yet. So he reached his conclusion easily, if First and Khaotung never meet again the bonding will never be completed. That means even his brother will have to suffer some withdrawal syndrome for the time being. It might be good for the long run.

He talked to the doctor about this and when the doctor said it might be possible, Earth didn't think twice and discharged First from the hospital and kept him locked up at a new place.

After hearing Earth's side of the story Khaotung's eyes teared as Earth's grip on Khaotung's collars loosened and Khaotung fell on the ground on his knees “I love him… I know he has proven his love for me again and again but p’... I really do love him. Give me a chance to show it. … If he ever says I disappointed him then you can kill me, I won't protest. Marking or this pheromonal bond whatever it is it will only last till the subjected one is alive”
