During a lively interview with Jimmy Fallon, Shubman and Evara sat side by side, sharing lighthearted laughs and the easy warmth of two people completely comfortable in each other's orbit. Evara, looking striking in a shimmering deep emerald jumpsuit, leaned against the couch, her effortless Hollywood charm lighting up the room. Shubman, dressed in a sharp navy suit, couldn't seem to keep from glancing her way every few seconds, his smile softer every time he looked at her.
Jimmy, who had been eagerly diving into their story, leaned forward. "So, Shubman, rumor has it you slid into her DMs—classic move, man! We need the full scoop!"
Shubman chuckled, running a hand through his hair, a hint of a blush rising up his cheeks. "You know, Jimmy, I was just this guy mindlessly scrolling Instagram one night, and RCB had just qualified for the playoffs. It was late—like, way too late—and I was feeling extra hype, just scrolling around. Then I see this story pop up from some random girl I didn't even remember following."
He laughed, and the crowd chuckled with him. Evara grinned, nudging him playfully, urging him to keep going.
"So," Shubman continued, his eyes locking onto hers for a moment, "I respond to her story with some comment about Virat and Anushka. And we start chatting... about everything, really. Cricket, movies, random stuff. She had me laughing so hard, but the crazy part? I didn't know she was Evara Ashvin, the superstar."
Evara rolled her eyes playfully. "Superstar—ha!"
With a mischievous grin, Jimmy jumped in, "And you didn't realize who she was?"
"Not a clue!" Shubman said, grinning back. "Not until I met her at this party through my buddy Ishan's girlfriend, Ishaani, who just happened to be best friends with Evara. So there I am, standing there like an idiot, realizing I'd been spilling my heart out to the Evara Ashvin, and I'd had no damn idea."
Evara laughed, nudging him. "You looked shocked when you realized. Just standing there, blinking."
Shubman laughed and shook his head. "Yeah, but you know what?" he said, his tone softening as he looked at her, "That mystery didn't matter. I didn't care who she was or what she did. At that point, I already knew she was just... everything I never knew I needed."
