Shubman Gill was scrolling through Instagram at 12: 10 a.m. on 20th May 2024, after he watched his idol's IPL team qualify for the playoffs. He was absentmindedly scrolling through the different stories posted by friends and family when he came across, a story posted by a person Evara Ashvin, someone he doesn't really remember following, at all.
Intrigued, he clicked on the story revealing, a split screen layout photo of Virat Kohli from the match that had just gotten over a few minutes ago and below was a snap of Anushka Sharma imitating him. Shubman couldn't help but grin at the heartfelt caption. Despite being a professional cricketer, he was also a hopeless romantic at heart, and seeing Virat and Anushka's love story unfold never failed to bring a smile to his face.
