chapter 7 - someone we know?

smg3 and smg4 had both fallen asleep. 4s head still rested softly against his boyfriends warm chest. The soft snores echoing around them, giving off a more peaceful atmosphere than the wretched one around them. 4s eyes started to twitch as he woke up to see the crew fighting a hooded figure. They had a slim build and a cloak that covered all but a devious grin and a katana in their hand. The crew surround them in a circle with their weapons at the ready, growling for intimidation. The purple meme guardian groaned and looked up at the scene.

"four, you awake?" he asked, stroking 4s hair and not being able to look away from the intense scene.

"yeah Three." 4 replied. He took his head off of Threes chest and placed both of his hands gently on his cheeks before slowly turning his face towards him.

"hey, I just wanted to say I'm sorry for all that has happened. I know its all my fault and at the minute I'm not too sure how I'll make it up to you." he remarked sadly, rubbing his thumb on 3s cheek.

"I mean, look at this huge gash across your eye! a-and your gloves are ripped!"

3s eyes were flicking from 4s eyes and then to his lips until he finally gave in and kissed him, the blue meme guardian not expecting it.

"darling, it wasn't your fault. What do you say we go help our friends?" the purple meme guardian suggested, offering his boyfriend a hand. 4 gladly took it with a smile and they both pulled out their weapons. As they joined the circle, 3 tossed 4 a bomb and meggy spoke up.

"guys you're awake! We went out looking for you last night and we brought you both here! do you guys know who this is?" She said, not taking her glaring eyes off of the figure. The crew all threw and aimed their weapons at them forcefully.

The ninja-like figure chuckled before dodging efficiently left and right. Ducking when needed and occasionally using the crew's own weapons against them, spinning and turning too. They ran towards Tari and delivered a forceful blow to the gut with her fist before immediately coming face to face with Saiko who was full of rage and was about to smack her hammer onto the figure for hurting her girlfriend. The hooded person then, slide tackled Saiko so she fell and accidentally slammed her hammer onto Tari, she let out painful winces. The two girlfriends struggled to move and let out painful yells. The Japanese girl apologized many times but Tari didn't seem to say anything. With their katana they slashed Luigi's hand clean off. Causing blood to squirt everywhere alongside anguished screams that were heart shattering. He yelled and used his other hand to put pressure on the wound and fell to his knees. They grabbed and threw Saikos hammer straight towards 4 in an attempt to also knock him out but 3 saw what was happening. With no hesitation, he jumped in front of him to sacrifice himself in order save his boyfriend and pushed him out of the way to safety. 3s body was slammed into the wall before falling onto the floor and not showing any signs of him being alive. His face was rough, nose was bleeding and his clothes were slightly ripped to show off some of his fresh bruises. 4 was on the floor too but jumped right back up and rushed over to 3 before turning his body so that he was lying on his back, he struggled to make eye contact with the blue guardian.

"stay strong 4, i love you."

3 smiled weakly, before his head flopped to the side, eyes closed and he was unconscious along with the others. 4 was riding on a roller coaster of emotions. He ran towards Meggy and Mario to assist them in fighting, bringing up an arm to wipe away his pouring tears. They stood face to face with the mysterious person and glanced across to their friends. Luigi, bleeding out on the floor in agony who later passed out whilst the blood still shot out. Smg3 was unconscious, along with Tari, and Saikos breathing gradually got slower and fount it hard to get oxygen, she was later knocked out too. Mario took out his mace and slammed it down against the cloaked figures head, but they just stepped to the side. They grabbed Mario by the hand that held tightly to the mace, kicked both of his legs and threw him into 4, knocking both of them out. Meggy aimed her knife towards the figure in a threatening manner before throwing it towards them with a traumatized shout, attempt to stab them and avenge her friends. The figure stared straight at Meggy as the knife flew straight towards them. They held their hand out to the side and let the knife pierce their hand. No winces or flinches, still an evil smirk. Meggy watched the blood drip down.

"hello Meggy, I remember you...."

they pulled the knife out of their hand

The ginger girls eyes began to widen with fear. No, this can't be. She had recognized that voice. She began to take a few steps back and held both of her hands up to her chest, stumbling over her friends' bodies that remain there. Meggy finally was able to get her words out and stuttered...

"Desti?"
