Chapter 3

August 13
I woke up by the sound of chatter at the living room. I got up wasted my face, dressed up and head to the living room. All of the sudden Anna and Lydia grabbed and sat me down.
"What's going?" I asked confused
"Do you know who's the guy and his friends that we're hanging out the past few days?" Anna asked me
"I try to figure out myself and not watch any tabloids about him, yes I know that he is an f1 driver,he already told me. Please don't show me anything." I begged them
"He's a celebrity, plus he drives really well and most importantly he is single! So we're not dealing with a douchebag or a womaniser" Anna continued
"Ok that's nice I guess, I never though that he will be in a relationship and hanging out with me and us" I said
"Oh Artemis you are so stupidly innocent some times that irritates me" Lydia said to me
"Oh shut up Lydia!" I tell her.
"You should see him while he drives, here look" Anna was saying while she shoved her phone in front of my face. "This is from Miami. He won his first race there and as I was searching the team that he is driving for is pretty good" Anna finishes talking while I still watching him drive the car.
"Ok yeah he is good as I can see from the video. Wow. I didn't know that he is that famous." I say almost speechless by his driving skills and after I open his instagram account and saw his 9 million followers. "Wow! he has some explaining to do when I see him" I say to my cousins.
We ate some breakfast and then headed out to find the boys so we can tour the town a little bit. We wearing our swimsuits too cause after that we were going out for lunch and then for a swim nearby.
We said hello and I saw Lando approaching for a hug, we hugged and then I tell him in a playful way:"you've got some explaining to do mate"
"What did I do?" He asked confused.
"Well my cousins sat me down and showed me your winning in Miami, and congratulations about it, but you didn't tell that you were that good and that famous because I saw your instagram profile" I start saying to him.
"First of all, thank you, second I told you that I was good and third I never denied that I was famous".
"Yeah but I've never seen anyone take photo of you or any autographs.."
"That's one of the reasons I came here, cause I don't have anyone hunting me for these things and I can relax till the next race" he said. "Is there a problem with these things?" he asked me.
"I don't know to tell you the truth, I never hang out with a celebrity before so I guess I am good for now" I say to him.
"Ok then" he says
"So when is your next race and where?" I asked
"It's in the Netherlands next Weekend"
"Wow it's close, do you feel prepared?"
"You never feel 100% ready to every race you just try to do your best" he said to me
"But you do practise right? Do you go karting?" I asked
"Yes and no, I usually drive in a simulator"
"Cool I would like to try something like that someday" I say
"Well you are welcome if you are passing by Monaco" he says
"You know that Monaco is far way from hear right?" I say while laughing
"Well then wherever you come you will let me know"
"Haha thanks for the invitation but I don't think I'll do such a trip only to try your simulator Lando!" I say
"What If I tell you to come and show you around Monaco then?" Lando asked
I freeze a little bit but I try ti play cool.
"Then we'll see, I'll have to see my schedule and let you know mister" I tell him playfully.
"Ok Lady Diana" Lando says too.
The hours passed and we saw all the touristy places, I took a lot of pictures from the places and with everyone, then we stopped for a quick lunch and to relax before we go for a swim.
After 2 hours we were ready to go for a swim. The beach that we found was quite and didn't have a lot of people at this hour, so we said that we are going to stay until the sundown.
The sea was so calm and warm from the rest of the sunny day. Of course I jump in and took the floatie with me because I was going a little farther away from the shore and I didn't want my feet to touch the ground and I knew that I'll be getting tired just floating without.
"Can I join you?" Lando asked me while I was swimming in the floatie try to reach my goal.
"Sure, come on" I replied to him.
We stayed silent just admiring the beauty all around us. After a while he swims closer to me.
"What happened f1 driver you got tired?" I jokingly say.
"No I just want to be closer to you" he replies
"And why is that?" I ask looking in to his blue eyes.
"Because I've been wanting to ask you something and we weren't alone most of the time" he says
"Oh ok, is everything ok?" I asked
"Everything is perfect, I just been wanting to ask you if you wanna go out with me?" He finally asked, I say to myself but I'm not going to make it easy for him.
"But we already going out with everybody so I already going out with you.."I say innocently
"I know that you joking right now Artemis so please give me an answer.."he says.
I laughed "finee..." I paused a little bit looking into his eyes and see him waiting for my answer.
"I would love to go out with you" I said smiling
"Great! Is tomorrow night good for you?" He asked eagerly.
"Yeah, tomorrow sounds good!" I say
"Cool..Um I think I'm going to get out now cause I want to see the sunset from the shore and take some pictures."
"Ok" I said "I think I am gonna stay here and enjoy it" I smiled to him and keep swimming.
The sunset passed we packed our things and we drove back into town. In the meantime my cousins and the boys were already planning our night out at a club. I didn't care as long as we are having fun and be near Lando more. I could see his eyes watching me through the rear view mirror and I was just smiling at him.
The boys drop us off to our Airbnb.
"So 22:00 o'clock is fine for you girls to pick you up?" Joshua asked
"Yeah we'll be ready by then" Lydia said
"Don't be late again though" Noah added
"Oh shut up Noah" Anna shouted as she was opening the door.
"See you tonight" Lando said to me
"See you tonight" I say and gave him a smile.

23:00
We were almost an hour in the club. We are dancing, laughing, drinking but not in a way to get drunk. We are having fun.
At some point I sat down while the rest of them keep dancing. Lando follows and seat next to me.
"Hey" I say
"Hey, you look beautiful" he says
"That's very nice of you, thank you" I joke with him " you don't look so bad yourself either"
"I mean it, thank you my lady".
"So what are we doing tomorrow?" I asked because I could feel the temperature rising.
"Um was thinking going out for late lunch and then just drive a little bit or walking, how does that sounds to you?"
"It's sounds great to me, I love car rides"
"Super then" he says "do you wanna join the others to the dance floor?"
"Yeah, let's go" I said while I stretch my hand so I can take his. He didn't hesitate at all and followed me to the dance floor.
It was round 4:00 am when we got out of the club.
"So I've got an idea" Anna said. "Usually some of the gyros places are staying open all night just for the clubbers, let's go and grab a sandwich from there just to finish the night"
"I like the idea of it" Max said
"Ok then go and we'll follow you" Lando said while holding my hand.
Everybody were staring at us with interest in their eyes, but they let it pass, because let's be honest everyone knew that something was going on between me and Lando, we just didn't want to acknowledge it,me and him yet.
We ate and the guys dropped us again off to our Airbnb. That time we all hugged each other but this time I decided to give Lando a kiss on his cheek.
"So you can sleep well tonight" I told him after I kissed him
He smiled at me and gave another hug.
"Goodnight" he said
I waved goodbye and closed the door behind me. When I looked up my cousins were smiling and waiting.
"What?" I asked
"Oh girl, you're really starting to have feelings for him!" Lydia said
"I think so, but I don't want it to be just a summer fling" I said
"You'll have to see, what if you tell him how you feel about him" Anna added
"It's a good idea, but still what if for him is just a flirt for the summer break and he doesn't feel the same way? And plus I prefer he talks about it first and then calculate the situation and decide what I'll be telling him" I say
"I say, you are going on a date anyway tomorrow so you can talk there, besides Artemis you are a 26 year old woman and you usually know what you want most of the time, let's not be teenagers that they don't know what they want or they always wait for the boy to do the first talk about it." Lydia says
"Yeah, just ask him what are you two doing  so you can clear the situation and you can feel comfortable after that, whatever the situation will be" Anna adds
"I agree, and that's what I am doing tomorrow" I say " now let's go to sleep please, cause I'm a walking corpse" I got ready for bed and the moment my head touched the pillow I was fast asleep.
