Cleaving my way through lines of enemy fleets was, to be honest, a difficulty.

The Extractor Decree had been a point of contention in the Imperium, even with its reforms. The last time we had tried to collect Warp Energy through a reality rift and convert it into usable energy through the law of conversion of matter had gone devastatingly because Daemons had converted the Inquisitor-in-charge. The key to this was using something to shred their very souls, two pieces of technology retrieved from a Dark Age extraction and a raid into a Drukhari slave-ship. Now the extraction processes were much smoother and we had rudimentary stations constructed, complete with defenses, to aid in the now-shorter procedure.

Problem was... the various stations were under attack. Huron had gotten wind of the technology and under his orders, several brilliant Chaos Warlords and Lucius (yes, that absolutely degenerate one) attacked Voss Prime, where along with several factories and facilities, these pieces of technology were held. Their manufactories were producing everything from aircraft to Titans, and most importantly the knowledge to extracting energy from the Warp into usable material lay within its vaults.

One of the major warlords of the battle was Kossolax the Foresworn, a warlord of the erstwhile World Eaters. I had cost him his flagship, the Conqueror, in the Battle of Ryza Secundus. He was a pretty good commander, even though in an eternal rage like all of his comrades. And he was furious at me for the loss of his flagship. The Chaos Gods had given him a ship the size of a Star System to replace the Conqueror... for some reason, likely to fuck with me. It did have powerful Warp weaponry, and could match all of my fleet save the Ark Mechanicus and my flagship, the Imperial Pride.

As Kossolax and his men marched on me with his sundered Legion and fleet, Lucius laid siege to the world below. Arch-Magi Tywin Hutt and Locus Juniper lent countless formidable armies to siege, and even Marneus Calgar himself entered the warzone, determined to bring Lucius' men to an end... followed by Lucius himself.

Kossolax's flagship, the Defiler, was no slouch, and combined with the rest of his fleet it could actually blast my ship. Our shields were at 45% and falling slowly. The primary target was my ship. The Sanguine Ferrum charged, meeting a corrupted quasar that could sunder a star, putting up absorbent void-shields.

With my powers I had managed to hack into the Machine-Spirits and the Mechanicum Noosphere, activating the full extent of the Ark Mechanicus ships. People forget that I was essentially a human C'tan, and in addition to great power my brains were also slowly increasing in overall power. Stars were now being shackled and absorbed into cannons of the ships to fire. Several corrupted starships were disintegrated into tiny fragments too broken to even become an asteroid field. They, in turn, sent three Emperor-Class Battleships tumbling into the void of the Warp with a special Warp Cannon. The Imperial Pride hit two of the strongest warships, erasing them from reality with one shots.

"Lord-Admiral Vicksburg, this is Lord-Admiral Sigmund Stavros here. The Abolition and the Avenger have been cornered here, the Obliterator is still intact."

"Continue fire, aim at the flagship, Lord-Admiral."

The Star Slaver, another mighty Dark Age-level Battleship on the same scale as the Phalanx, plodded forth through the burning black of the battle. It had on it a special piece of technology that could chain stars and convert them into powerful, shield-bypassing, disintegrating, anti-Warp beams that could hit things at any point of time. While we struck down the fleet, the plan was to distract the others and strike at the Defiler with such might that Kossolax's flagship would be rent in half despite having the capacity to subjugate and pacify all revolt in a sector alone. The Star Slaver would cut the Defiler in half before the Imperial Pride disintegrated the rest. And then if anything remained... I would kill that Warlord myself before descending.
