Ashley Pov

Jessica took almost 2 hours before I was able to get off her without her trying to leave, she was sitting with me in the kitchen having a tea when David got home from work at 5:30pm "Ashley, Luke & I were talking about you just sharing a room with him and Jessica can have her own room once you're comfortable doing that of course" David says in a stern tone as he sat at the table with us "okay" I say biting my lip trying not to smile too much at the thought of having Luke beside me every night.

"So I heard you said some pretty nasty things Jessica?" David asks narrowing his eyes at her, she snorts "fuck off, David" She grumbles standing up and going to the bedroom "Luke wasn't happy with how she spoke to you" David says frowning at me "she'll grow out of it and yeah I could tell" I say sighing as I stand up grabbing the empty mugs and placing them in the sink "he told me that you were going with him to his cousins party tomorrow night, I'll be home to babysit the gremlin" He grumbles looking unhappy.

"Don't call her that, David, you know what it was like with our parents, this is just her way of dealing with it, it's unhealthy and chaotic but she needs guidance, not punishment" I say softly as I wash the dishes "she's like a mini version of mum, she's never going to change" David snorts rolling his eyes "she could!, stop being so negative" I murmur yawning.

"Go lay down, I'll cook dinner tonight" David says sternly noticing how tired I am "thank you, I'm gonna just make sure Jess is still here first" I say sighing an walk to my room, I open the door and found her laying on the bed on her phone, I shut the door and sat down beside her "we've never been friends, you're my sister by blood but we have never hung out or had heartfelt conversations before, you were always off doing your own things, I want to be friends with you Jessica but your gonna half to meet me halfway" I murmur softly as I try not to sound vulnerable.

"Give me this room to myself and we have a deal" She snorts with a smirk "I'll have to talk to Luke when he gets home first" I say rolling my eyes as she sat up putting her phone down "as if he'd say no, I get that I'm stuck here and all but I just like my privacy and sharing a room with my sister isn't gonna play with me" She says narrowing her eyes at me "fine, I'm not complaining about it, can you try an be less of a bitch to David or is that gonna be too difficult for your majesty?" I ask raising an eyebrow at her as I try to keep a hard face.

"Fuck off, he's never been there for me, he's only ever wanted you as a sister, he doesn't care about me so why should I care about his feelings?" She asks grumpily as she refuses to look up at me "he does care, you never made it easy either, we were all forced to raise ourselves but now we can finally be a family together, I understand that this is difficult for you but just try to make the best of it" I say softly as I give her a reassuring smile just as we hear David calling out that dinner is ready.

"I'm not hungry" She grumbles laying back down "fine, I can't force you to eat" I say standing up "what did he cook?" She asks raising an eyebrow, I smirk "lasagna and Mac & cheese, he wanted your two favourite meals to be for your first night here" I said shrugging an laugh when she jumps up off the bed and runs out to the kitchen, I follow her and by the time I got there she was already scoffing food "not hungry my ass" I said shaking my head amused as David was silently sitting at the table looking sad.

I grab a plate of food and sat between them, once we ate I decided to do the dishes and was surprised that they sat in the living room together and started watching a movie. There wasn't any talking though but it'll happen eventually.
