Luke walks into my room wearing his work uniform an sat down in front of me on my bed "Maya is having a birthday party on Friday, she really wants you to come, I'll be going so you can get a ride with me" He says in a blunt tone "yeah that sounds fun, are you ok?" I ask concerned as I place my hand on his arm "yeah just been thinking about crap" He murmurs shrugging, I shuffle over and pull him down beside me, he allows me to push him onto his back and I rest my head on his chest.

He wraps his arm around me as I snuggle into his side "I know you don't like talking much about stuff but if you ever want to talk, my door is always open" I murmur softly as I enjoy the sound of his heartbeat "thanks Ash" He murmurs kissing my head. "You guys can't say nothing is going on" David snorts standing in the doorway "David, go eat a dick" I grumble and throw a pillow at him, he chuckles but walks away.

"I gotta go to work" Luke murmurs gently pushing me over as he sat up "have a great shift" I say softly as he gets up off the bed "thanks" He says not looking at me as he leaves my room, I frown as I lay there wishing he was still with me. Once I heard his car leave the driveway I get up and went to find David "you had to ruin a good moment, ya wankstain!" I grumble trudging into the living room and sitting next to him "sorry, I didn't mean to make him uncomfortable, I forget how he is sometimes, don't take it to heart, he does like you" He says with a smirk.

"Can you come to the cafe with me to hand in a resume?" I ask softly "you know I wouldn't say no" He snorts an we stand up, it's within walking distance so I go grab my bag and the resume and we left. "You do actually like Luke yeah?, cause I don't want you leading him on and breaking his heart" David says narrowing his eyes at me as we walk down the street "I do and I wouldn't do that" I say annoyed that he would think that "your my sister but he's my best mate, I've gotta look out for both of you, Ashley, plus you have no idea what he's been through, he really needs something good to happen for once" David says frowning at me.

I sigh "everytime we hang out it's like we are getting there but than he shuts down again, I don't know what to do" I say throwing my arms up dramatically "just be patient with him, he'll get there eventually" David says smiling as we reach the cafe, he goes to sit down as I walk to the counter "hello, I was wondering about handing in a resume?" I ask a lady named Luna who grinned at me "let me see it" She says perkily holding her hand out and I hand her my resume.

"Can you work tomorrow morning as a trial shift?" She asks excitedly, I felt myself gutted with excitement "absolutely, what time do you need me in?" I ask happily "say 6:30am, black shorts or pants, I'll provide a work shirt for you" Luna says in a stern tone with a warm smile "okay thank you so much, I can't wait" I say grinning before running up to David, I sat down in front of him "I have a trial shift in the morning!" I say squealing, he grins at me "that's great, sis, I'm happy for you" He says smiling just as one of the servers come over.

I notice his expression changed and the name badge had Daisy... oh well hello there Davids crush "hey there, what can I get for you two?" Daisy says in a perky tone "David, your sister still has no money, shout me a coffee and I'll make dinner tonight" I say grinning, he rolls his eyes "two flat whites please, Daisy" David says smiling at her, she nods an gives him a little smile before walking away.
