It was a quiet evening at the hideout when the sound of screeching tires ripped through the air. Beomgyu, Kai, Taehyun, and Soobin froze, their conversation falling to silence as dread crept into the room.

"What was that?" Kai asked, already on his feet, his voice tense.

Beomgyu bolted for the door without hesitation, throwing it open to reveal a black SUV speeding away down the dimly lit street. His heart sank as he saw the crumpled figure lying motionless on the ground in the wake of the car.

"Yeonjun!" Beomgyu screamed, sprinting toward the body. His knees hit the pavement as he slid next to his husband, his hands trembling as he took in the sight before him. Yeonjun was barely recognizable—his face swollen and bruised, cuts and gashes littering his body, blood soaking through his torn clothing.

Soobin and Taehyun caught up, their expressions hardening as they saw the extent of the damage. Taehyun crouched beside Beomgyu, immediately checking for a pulse. "It's weak, but it's there," he said, his voice grim. "We need to get him to a hospital now."

Kai was already on his phone, calling for an ambulance. Beomgyu cradled Yeonjun's head in his lap, his tears falling freely as he whispered frantically. "Yeonjun, it's me. I'm here. You're safe now. Please, just hold on. Please..."

Soobin placed a hand on Beomgyu's shoulder, his own voice steady despite the storm raging inside him. "Beomgyu, we'll get him help. Just stay with him."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The hospital waiting room was suffocating, the sterile smell and the hum of fluorescent lights doing little to soothe the anxiety that gripped the group. Beomgyu sat with his head in his hands, his entire body shaking as silent tears streamed down his face. Kai sat beside him, an arm wrapped tightly around his shoulders, offering what little comfort he could.

Soobin and Taehyun paced the length of the room, their expressions grim as they replayed the night's events in their minds. None of them had spoken much since arriving, the weight of Yeonjun's condition pressing down on them.

After what felt like an eternity, a doctor finally emerged, his face a practiced mask of professionalism. "Are you Yeonjun's family?" he asked, his tone calm but serious.

"Yes," Beomgyu said immediately, standing on shaky legs. "I'm his husband."

The doctor nodded. "He's stable for now, but he's in critical condition. We've moved him to the ICU. He suffered multiple fractures, severe bruising, and significant blood loss. We've done what we can to stabilize him, but the next 24 hours are crucial."

Beomgyu's knees nearly gave out, but Kai caught him, holding him upright. "Can I see him?" he asked, his voice breaking.

The doctor hesitated but nodded. "One visitor at a time. He's unconscious, but you can sit with him."

Beomgyu didn't wait for further instruction. He followed the nurse down the sterile hallway, his heart pounding with every step. When he entered the room, his breath hitched. Yeonjun lay motionless on the hospital bed, tubes and wires connecting him to machines that beeped steadily, keeping him alive.

Beomgyu sank into the chair beside the bed, his hand reaching out to gently clasp Yeonjun's. "I'm here, Jun," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I'm so sorry. I should have done more. I should have found you sooner..."

His tears fell freely now, but he didn't care. All that mattered was that Yeonjun was here, alive, even if barely. "You're so strong, Jun," he continued. "You held on. You didn't give up. I won't give up on you either."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Outside, Soobin and Taehyun stood near the waiting room window, their expressions dark. "This wasn't just a message," Taehyun said, his voice low. "They wanted us to see how broken they can make someone. They wanted us to know they have the power to destroy everything."

Soobin nodded, his jaw clenched. "And they wanted us to feel helpless. But they underestimated us."

Taehyun's gaze shifted to the ICU door where Beomgyu had disappeared. "They're going to pay for this. Every single one of them."

"We'll make sure of it," Soobin said, his voice cold with resolve. "But first, we focus on Yeonjun. Beomgyu can't lose him. Not like this."

The two exchanged a solemn nod, their determination renewed. Whatever it took, they would bring Enhypen down.
