Avery and Dylan had lived in their new apartment for three months. They both loved it. Dylan made lots of new friends. Avery was a lot more relaxed in this place.

Avery was making dinner. She and Dylan were waiting on Max. There was a knock at the door.

"I'll let him in mommy." Dylan said.

"Ok."

Dylan opened the door. Max was standing there.

"Hi Max." He said.

"Hey buddy." He went inside. They hugged. "How was school today?"

"Good."

Max went into the kitchen.

"Hey honey." Avery said.

"Hey." They kissed. "Need help with anything?"

"You can make the salad if you want."

"Alright."

Later that night Avery got in bed next to Max. She snuggled up next to him. He kissed her on the forehead.

"I missed this ." She said.

"Me to9."

"I'm signing Dylan up for his school soccer team."

"That's great."

"He's so excited." "His old school didn't have the money for extracurricular activities." "I feel bad though."

"Why?"

"With both of my jobs I won't be able to make most of his games."

"Well you know, you don't have to work anymore."

"No Max." "You are not paying for everything." "I already feel bad you pay for this place.

"Why do you have to be so damn stubborn?" He asked smirking at her.

"That's just the woman you fell in love with." She kissed him.

Two nights later Avery was at the club by the bar. Paul came up to her. She rolled her eyes. He held out money to her.

"I want a dance." He said.

"No."

"You're gonna refuse a paying customer?"

"Just you because you give me the creeps."

"I can make you scream more then Max ever could."

"Thank you for proving my point." She walked away.
