Avery and Dylan were in the store. Dylan came up to her holding an action figure box.

"Can I please have this wrestler mommy?"

She looked at it. It was Max. She smiled. "Yes you can."

"Thank you."

The next afternoon Avery was at home. Dylan was at school. There was a knock at the door. When she answered it her co-worker from the diner Tammy was standing there. She was holding roses and chocolates.

"These came for you this morning." She said. She handed them to her.

"Thanks."

"I didn't know you had a boyfriend."

"I don't." "Thanks again."

"No problem."

Avery shut the door and opened the card. It read.

These roses aren't half as beautiful as you. - Max

Avery went and got the napkin with Max's number and it and dialed it.

"Hello?" He said.

"Hi, it's Avery."

"Oh hi."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome." "I'll be back in New York next week." "Are you free Saturday?"

"I don't date customers Max."

"What if I quit coming to the club?" "Then I'm no longer a customer."

"I know you like going there."

"It's worth it not to to go out with you."

"I'll tell you what." "We'll go on one date and see how it goes."

"Sounds good to me."
