Arjun lead them through the corridors, in the name of giving them a new chamber, the others followed him like dogs with their master.
"So, how large will the new room be?"
Vausuda asked as he admired the nature outside the giagantic windows of the corridors."It's surely large enough for you five to fit!"
Arjun said, as they crossed another corridor to meet the two Madra twins lurking around."Nakul, Sahadev!"
Arjun called out to his younger brothers. The two rushed to their elder.
"Bhratha!"
Sahadev called his brother with a smile.
"This is the five so called time travelers I mentioned about,"
He said gesturing to the five behind him.
"Apsara, Yohan, Maya, Jiayi and Vasuda,....yesterday they seemingly passed the satyaprakashakah test and turns out they aren't any evil Rakshasas.""Nice to meet you! I am Prince Sahadeva and this is my pervert twin brother Nakul."
Nakul didn't even bothered the fact that he was addressed a pervert as he was busy bothering about the beauty of the lass with dark brown hair and beautiful red lips in front of him.
"Hi!" He showed his hand suddenly for a shake, to Maya with a sheepishly shy smile formed on his face.
Maya, though weirded out, complied and shook his hand and replied.
"Hi, there...I am Maya and this is my elder brother Vasuda!"
she said as Vasuda crossed his arms looking at Nakul with scary eyes, gesturing him to stay away from his baby sister."Okay! I have to give these people a new room, you two carry on with whatever you were up to." He said as he walked forward, only to be stopped by Nakul's pleading demand.
"Wait!!! Bhratha, I volunteer to help you....I don't have anything better to do anyway."
"Then, I'll come too....I don't think it is nice to leave my twin to whatever he is plotting alone.."
Sahadev said, grabbing Nakul's shoulder with a small terror gleaming in his eyes, since he know exactly why Nakul suddenly volunteered. As Arjun and his little brothers lead them to walk towards the new chamber in the south wing, the five friends couldn't help but exchange smiles, relieved that the ordeal with the Satyaprakashakah was finally behind them.
"This chamber is far better than the ones you gave us earlier," Yohan said, running his hand along the smooth woodwork of the door.
Arjun, who led the way, turned back with a smirk. "What did you expect? That was for those we suspected of practicing black magic. You've proven otherwise-well, barely."
Apsara stepped forward, her expression softer than usual. "Thank you for trusting us, even after all that."
Arjun raised an eyebrow, his smirk deepening. "Don't thank me yet. Just stay out of trouble." He paused, looking at her with a glimmer of humor in his eyes. "But yeah... I got your back."
Apsara couldn't help but smile faintly at his response as he turned and led the group inside. The chamber was elegant but practical, stone walls with carvings, sturdy furniture, and a sense of warmth that was absent from their previous quarters.
"You might not get royal treatment," Arjun added, "but this is as close as it gets."
Maya rolled her eyes. "Close? It's practically a palace."
"Good. Then don't complain." Arjun shot back, stepping away.
As Arjun turned to leave, Yohan leaned against the doorway and called out, "You sure you don't want to stick around, Arjun? You might learn a thing or two about hospitality."
Arjun shot him a mock glare. "Hospitality? You're lucky you're still breathing after the stunt in the dungeons. Don't push your luck."
Maya snickered. "You know, for someone so serious, you sure enjoy being dramatic."
Arjun raised an eyebrow. "Says the one who looked like she was ready to faint back at the Satyaprakashakah."
Maya crossed her arms, feigning indignation. "I was not ready to faint. I was just... mentally preparing."
"Sure, call it whatever helps you sleep at night," Arjun replied, smirking.
Apsara, sensing the tension simmering down, stepped forward again. "So, is this where we can finally breathe without being watched?"
"For now," Arjun said, leaning against the doorway. "But don't think for a second we're not keeping tabs on you. Bhishma trusts the results of the Satyaprakashakah, but we've got our eyes on you."
"And you, specifically, I assume?" Apsara asked, her tone light but challenging.
Arjun met her gaze, his smirk softening into something almost genuine. "Maybe."
Nakul, who had been quietly observing, cleared his throat. "Bhratha, we should let them rest. They've had a long day."
"Rest, huh?" Sahadev chimed in, grinning mischievously. "Is that why you were so quick to volunteer to help escort them, Nakul?"
Nakul flushed slightly, avoiding Maya's eyes. "I was being courteous."
Maya, however, didn't seem to notice-or pretended not to-as she busied herself inspecting the intricate carvings on the bedpost. "Courteous or not, some alone time sounds nice. Unless you plan on standing there all day?"
Arjun chuckled at Nakul's discomfort. "Come on, Bhratha. Let's leave them to their... peace."
With that, Arjun straightened up and motioned for Nakul and Sahadev to follow. As they exited, Apsara called out, "Thanks again... for everything."
Arjun didn't turn back, but his voice carried down the hallway. "Don't make me regret it, Apsara."
As the door closed behind them, Jiayi flopped onto one of the plush cushions. "Well, that was... interesting."
Yohan grinned, looking at Apsara. "You've got his attention, that's for sure."
Apsara rolled her eyes but couldn't hide the faint smile tugging at her lips. "Let's just focus on how to go back, before anyone gets the wrong idea."
"Too late," Maya muttered, smirking as she stretched out on one of the beds.
"I found solace in this soft bed."The group shared a laugh, the lightheartedness a welcome reprieve from the chaos of the past few days.
