"Where are you going?"
Kira's confused voice rang out, stopping Vi in her tracks. In a matter of seconds, the door to their base opened, revealing Sara and Mitch, covered in blood as they exited the room, hearing Kira's words.
"Home, we got the stuff, right?"
Vi quickly tried to find an excuse, outnumbered three to one.
"Liar. I saw you listening in, you tried to run, didn't you?"
Kira called her out, stepping to the side and blocking the stairway properly before sharing a look with Mitch and nodding. Seeing this gesture, Vi immediately turned back to Mitch.
"Wait-"
It was too late, the butt of a gun already slammed into the side of her face, knocking her unconscious as her body fell to the ground with a thump.

For the next hour, Vi came in and out of consciousness, seeing her limp body being dragged along the floor in a daze, unable to muster the strength to struggle as she felt something hot trickle down the side of her face, blood? it had to be. It was where she felt an astounding amount of agony as her head fell to the side, resting on her own shoulder before she passed back out. Muffled sounds filled her ears, talking, arguing, and the sound of a connecting slap before Vi's eyes shot open, her face stinging as she looked around, visibly distressed. When she looked up, Kira was standing over her, shaking her head in disappointment while Mitch and Sara stood at the back of the room, arguing.
"Where the fuck is he? He should have been back an hour ago?"
Mitch began to panic, anger seething throughout his whole body as he threw a nearby chair at the wall. After seeing the wooden object shatter on impact, Vi tried to get up, only to realise her hands had been bound behind her back, and after feeling around with her hands, she realised she had been strapped to a radiator. Her gloves were now missing as she sat there, unarmed and vulnerable.
"He probably ran. This is what happens when you show rookies what it is we do out here. They don't understand"
Sara reasoned with him, making Mitch groan as he ran his hands through his hair.
"Guys, she's awake..."
Kira interrupted, causing Mitch to look directly at Vi, hate filling his eyes before he approached her, kneeling down before her and taking her face in his hands.

He turned her head to the side, examining the bleeding gash on the side of her head before Vi pulled away from his grip, disgusted that he ever put his hands on her in the first place.
"Damn... she got you good, didn't she?"
Mitch chuckled
"Look, I think we got off on the wrong foot"
"You think?"
Vi spat angrily, struggling in the zip ties that kept her restrained.
"I know. It's hard out here. It's not for the faint hearted, and we already lost Reece"
Vi suddenly looked devastated as she stared at Mitch in disbelief.
"No, we didn't kill him, so you can stop looking at me like that. He's gone, probably taken by the turned. If I'm honest. But Vi, you have to hear the offer I'm about to make"
Vi simply rolled her eyes at his words, letting him continue even if she already knew his offer would be complete bullshit.
"This is how we survive out here, we're not monsters-"
"I heard what that man said while you were beating him to death.. It sounds to me like you are monsters"
"You should never believe the enemy"
"Are they the enemy? Because it sounds to me like they never did you any harm, that you guys are the problem. Is everything about Piltover a lie?"
Vi asked, fidgeting with her wrists behind her back, trying to find leverage in the zip tie, hopefully, by some miracle she'd be able to snap her bindings in two unnoticed. Mitch and Sara shared a certain look with each other before Mitch turned back to Vi.
"Not necessarily, but you have to understand. They got to this town before us, and picked it clean. That's as good as coming into our camp at night and slitting our throats while we sleep"
He explained
"They're trying to survive, you're just paranoid"
"I wouldn't be so sure about that"
"Then feel my bag, does it feel empty to you? They left plenty behind to survive from"
Mitch sighed heavily before pulling his knife from its sheath, done with this conversation.
"Look, I don't want to have to kill you. We already lost Reece, that looks bad enough. Can't we all just be friends again? Then you get to return to your sister in one piece, and I get to give Zaun the supplies they need without anymore interferences"
