Eku, He is my small brother, who is very hesitant at first to mingle with my family.
He didn't even speak with us for few days, he is a shy child.
But soon he started to move freely with us.
And his shyness vanished and then started his tantrums, especially towards me.
His arguments and petty fights with Sakshi, where Veer used to stop them.

Eku always used to come and complaint me about Sakshi, while Sakshi also vice - versa.
How happy and memorable days are those.
I still remember how Ekant came into our lives.

Shardul Roy is the reason.
Thinking about him my blood boils,
He is my father's younger brother and Roopali's maa's second brother.
He is my uncle for name sake.

Shardul Roy had a secret affair with a girl, and had son with her, who is Ekant.
Dad didn't know about his affair and fixed Shardul's wedding with a rich man's daughter.

Shardul who is selfish and always want to get surrounded by riches didn't want to miss the chance.

But Dad got to know about Shardul's secret affair through the father of the girl with whom Shardul marriage got fixed.

Dad confronted Shardul and ordered him to marry Ekant's mom and accept them.
But Shardul denied to marry her saying she is just a time pass for him.

Then Dad warned him if he won't marry the girl, he will kick him out of his house and will leave him with no money.

So Shardul decided to kill Ekant and his mother, thinking if they will die no one can do anything to him.

Dad got to know about his plan, and with Nilanjan uncle's help, he got to know where Shardul is and went there, where he is brutally thrashed Ekant and choking his mother.
Dad stopped him and got him arrested.

Then he brought Ekant and his mother to our Roy bungalow.
He became a guardian for them.
He joined Ekant in school with us and gave Roy surname to Ekant.
Roopali maa also accepted them warmly, she is pregnant then.

But people who's habit is to make gossips, started to speak ill about Ekant's mother.
They accused her saying she trapped Shardul.
And soon will trap dad to usurp our property.
But maa, consoled aunt.
Still we never thought that she will take a drastic step of leaving us along with Ekant.

She wrote a letter, mentioning dad as his brother who saved her and gave shelter to her And her son, including surname.
But in return to his help,
Her presence is tarnishing Roy's reputation and to save us from blame she is leaving us.

Dad and Maa searched aunt and Ekant but they didnt found them.
We got letters from Ekant, but there is no from address, slowly those letters also stopped.

But one night, when Nilanjan uncle, Veer and Sakshi are out of town,
Roopali maa, went into labor.
Piyali's father Hrishab brought mid-wife to do the delivery.

I was excited that finally I'm going to get another sister or brother.
Dad is in tense as doctor already mentioned Roopali maa is weak to bare the child, also Uncle is out of town.

Finally I heard a cry and soon mid-wife informed us a boy is born, and Roopali maa is fine but unconscious.

I wanted to see the boy, but no one is allowing me.
Dad and Mr.Hrishab is talking with mid- wife and taking that chance I went inside where maa and new brother is present.
