Alastor nodded awkwardly.

'Okay anyway, Lucifer dear?' Lilith asked her husband.

'Yes?'

'Do you know how to break soul deals?'

'Yeah lol.'

'Okay how.'

'So you gotta like, chip away the chains. I don't know if it'll work for someone as powerful as Eve, because she's like, on your level, right Lilith?'

'Right. Could you try? You're second only to God after all.' Lilith replied.

'That's true,' Lucifer started, dragging out the 'e', 'But I don't know if my power would incinerate Alastor if I put it into her soul.'

Everyone turned to look at Charlie. She blinked, then shook her head.

'I don't even know how!'

'I can teach you. We can start on Angel's.'

'Should I be worried that I'm a test subject.'

'Not at all. Because Valentino is just an Overlord and not the woman responsible for all of creation, yours will be almost impossible to get wrong.' Lucifer replied.

'Why don't you just free everyone then?'

'We usually try not to meddle in affairs like that. It usually isn't my business. The excuse I'm using for your souls,' she pointed to Alastor and Angel, 'is that Angel is a guest at the hotel, and the work Valentino is getting him to do isn't getting him any closer to Heaven. And Eve isn't supposed to own any souls.' Lilith said.

The room went silent. Lilith looked around, confused.

'Eve?' Charlie said in a small voice. Lilith's eyes widened. 'Oh. My bad. I forgot you guys didn't know.'

'Alastor, what exactly happened to you when you dissapeared?' Vaggie asked her curiously, and a bit concerned if she was honest with herself.

Alastor closed her eyes, her smile turning into more of a grimace.

'Do you want me to explain?' Lilith asked quietly. Alastor nodded and Lilith took a breath.

'Okay. When Alastor left, she was put into a Void by Eve. There, Eve- she...' Lilith folded Alastor's ears down with a hand. 'She tortured her. And she- she raped her. Multiple times.'

Alastor closed her eyes. She couldn't hear them, but she knew what they were talking about. Her throat went dry.

'I left seven years ago as well. Eve dissappeared and I was trying to find her, but I found her  instead.' She guestured to the deer, lifting her hand off Alastor's head.

'That- that's horrible!' Charlie exclaimed, eyes round. Alastor sighed, her smile smaller than an ANT.

Lilith sighed aswell. That's why we're trying to get her free. No one should have to go through that. That's also why we're freeing you as well.' She guestured to Angel.

'Teach me how.' Charlie said. 'Teach me how to free them.'

Lilith and Lucifer exchanged a look. 'Right now?'

'Absolutely. I'm not taking any chances.'

'Good plan.' Alastor said, leaning against the wall. Charlie turned to look at her with a sympathetic gaze.
