Slay your Demons

At this exact moment we were in the middle of the forest, hunting, we were chasing a black pig, and we were all alert, ready to kill it.

"Sh-sh, she's mine." I heard Bellamy say from besides me, looking around trying to find the animal when I heard a crack from behind me, I immediately turned around and threw my axe in the direction of a tree, with the girl Charlotte standing next to it. The girl looked frighten and the other boys started running in all directions deeper into the woods to find the pig, leaving me, Atom, Bellamy and the girl.

Bellamy walked towards the tree to take out the ax. "Who the hell are you?" He asked the girl.

"Charlotte." She answers.

"Why aren't you back at camp?" He continues asking the girl.

She looks scared to speak to him, and so I give her a nod in approval. "Well, what with that guy who was dying, I just couldn't listen anymore."

"There are grounders out here. It's too dangerous for a little girl." Atom states.

"I'm not little."

I eye her up and down, with a look of amusement on my face before saying. "Ok, then... But you can't hunt without a weapon." I say while taking a knife out of my jacket and handing it to her.

"Ever killed something before?" I ask her, making her nod her head no. "Who knows? Maybe you're good at it." I say with a smile plastered on my face. We started walking with the girl following behind us, when I saw a yellow fog coming towards us.

"You guys! Run!" I say while taking the girls hand, making her run with me, while Atom and Bellamy followed. Bellamy took my hand and guided me.

"Come on! There are caves this way." He shouted for everyone to hear him. We were running as fast as I can, when I saw Atom trip over and get caught up on the fog, making me let go of Charlotte's hand and running towards him, making Bellamy scream my name to come back. I continued running and Bellamy eventually also continued running to save the girl and himself. I crouched down next to Atom before grabbing his arm.

"Come on Atom! Get up!" I got him to get up, but the truth was, the fog was quickly making its affect, so I ripped apart of my shirt and tied around my mouth, while dragging Atom with me.

"Bellamy!" I screamed, for his help. From far away I saw Bellamy standing next to an entrance of a cave, looking at me, screaming me to leave Atom. I looked back and forth between Bellamy and Atom, when Atom spoke up.

"It's ok." He said with tears in his eyes.

"No, I'm not letting you die." I told him with tears also in my eyes. Atom took my arms and shook me off him before screaming.

"You have to go! It's ok." I nodded my head and took of the shirt tied around my nose and mouth before tying it around Atom's and leaving him there, running towards Bellamy. When I got there Bellamy started shouting in my face.

"Are you crazy or what, you were going to die, look at you, you're all burnt!"

"I was not letting him die, I can- I couldn't, okay?!"

I looked over to see the girl sitting in a corner, looking at me. "Do you want to sleep?" I ask her at which she nods yes, taking off my coat, I put it over her covering her, while she quickly drifted off to sleep, leaving me and Bellamy looking at each other. I sat down on a rock and felt stinging in my stomach, I lifted my shirt to look at my wound and saw it was bleeding, again. I took of the belt from my jeans and tied it around my stomach making me groan in pain, Bellamy looked at me and crouched down in front of me.
